Chapter Fourteen - Karma's a Bitch

Great this was going to turn out awkward. "Umm hi Dylan, what are you doing here?"   

“I’m doing placement here for six months, for training as I want to be a water teacher, which includes the likes of water sports. It’s great fun! On my last month now.” he replied.

“What happened to becoming an athlete?” I asked.

“Wow you remember – at least I know you listened to what I say! My mother had cancer at the time they were short listing and wanted me to compete but I couldn’t leave my mom so I left.” He responded.

“Wow! Surprised you came home, considering that big ego you carried around flying some flag! Is she better now?” I asked.

His face dropped along with the boys, “What?! He was an ego cunt and only ever cared about himself no care for his family, I remember when he was close to exclusion his mom went mad and he said something on the lines of ‘Mom I don’t care or value your opinion’ that was just low its family at the end of the day! I sometimes wonder if you even cared for me!” I said. May have slightly taken the biscuit, but I couldn’t help it! The last time I saw him wasn’t even on a positive vibe – he chose football training over our anniversary dinner (yes I did support his activities but training that happens 4 times a week and is always being rescheduled was just low!).

Dylan had an awkward look, “People change Zeli(his nickname for me)-” I cut him, “It’s Zendaya.”

“Yeah as I was saying, people change Zendaya, I learnt from my mistakes and I hated who I was but that ignorant kid got me to where I am now a much better person. And moms better now thanks.” He continued.

“Well that’s nice to know. Still hooking up with any girl or you found a special one?” I asked.

“Your still the stubborn cheeky, sarcastic person!” he smiled. Yuck I went out with that guy?! Damn was I a dumb young person [a/n felt the need to say 'young, dumb and living' a show that comes on tv]

“I change for no one – you would remember that!” I added.

“I have actually her name is-” he continued before being cut by Harry.

“Bridie!” Harry shouted, he saw her by the lockers.

“Huh?! How do you know?” Dylan questioned, confused.

Uh oh.

“Huh?! Bridie? Bridie who?” Niall asked.

“Sparks.” Dylan replied.

We all looked at Harry, “I never got her surname.” He said. Oh great! This holiday was going terrible!

“Hold up! I’m confused, what is going on?!” Dylan asked.

“Just shut up Dylan!” I said with anger – urgh he was just soo annoying!

“Who does this Bridie hang out with?” Niall said trying to figure the mystery.

Dylan wouldn’t reply. “Oh so you choose to listen to me now?! Answer the flipping question!” I snapped.

“Errmm Jayda. The daughter of-” Dylan was again overlapped.

“Dell?” Liam interrupted.

“You guys got to finish off every sentence I say?!” Dylan said.

“That whore!” Louis shouted.

“Errmmm please don’t insult my girlfriend Louis, you wouldn’t like it if I said that about Ella.” Dylan responded.

“Eleanor.” Louis replied so minimalistic, my baby’s protecting our secret!

“No you dumb shit! Bridie is a full on whore!” I jumped in to the conversation.

“Zel… Zendaya, look whatever problem you have with me still I don’t know but don’t go insulting my girlfriend.” He said.

“I have nothing to say to you jerk!” I snapped.

“Oh I can’t take this nonsense!” Niall added. “Look Dylan, Bridie’s best friend Jayda is currently getting things on with Zayn, we all went out for a BBQ yesterday and Bridie came, she was full on checking me out, but I rejected her, but Harry likes her.” He continued.

“Not anymore I don’t!” Harry commented.

“I don’t believe this nonsense, can we please just get on with this surfing lesson?!” Dylan replied.

“Is that why she’s kissing some dude by the lockers?” Louis asked pointing to the direction of the lockers. We all looked. Dylan’s face was priceless! So mean I know but he cheated on me and now he’s getting it shoved in his face!

“Karma’s a bitch Dylan, not nice being on the other end of the stick right? And come on is this girl thick?! If she’s going to cheat on you she could at least do it perhaps somewhere you don’t work maybe?!” I said smirking.

“Karma?” Zayn questioned.

“Oh yeah, this guys done everything! He cheated on me as well!” I answered.

“Just shut up!” snapped Dylan. I’ll be back in a minute. Here fill out these forms.” He passes us some forms and walked off.

“Wonder what he’s going to do now.” Harry said.

“Oh that’s easy! He’s going to go up to some girl now, walk her towards the lockers, use a cheesy line on her, kiss her, then punch the guy Bridie’s locking lips with, then tell Bridie he’s through.” I said watching him storm off.

And that’s exactly what he did.

“You’re like some relationship genius!” Liam smiled seeming impressed.

“It’s Dylan Knight for you – I’ve known him long him enough to know what he’s like!” I laughed.

“Still don’t know what you saw in him!” Louis said.

“Nor do me boo-bear! Nor do me. Makes me sick thinking of it! But I’m happy with you now.” I smiled. “I could so kiss you right now!” I continued.

Louis blew a kiss. Cute guy. Cute, cute guy!

Dylan came back – calm, but still anger in his eyes, I was going to say something but then I figured it was best not, I just wanted to get on with surfing!

“Right let’s begin.” He said.
