Chapter Nineteen - Gossip

It was coming close to 4pm when we came back to the hotel and we saw Zayn walking in the lobby – they went for coffee, how long?! Well I had to ask him about their day. As we walked passed to get the lift I saw Niall, Harry, and Liam getting up with Bridie in smiles – well that was something else I had to ask about. It’s going to be a gossip of an evening!

“Hey Hey!” I smiled opening the door as Zayn walked over the couch putting his phone on the table.

“Yooo!” he smiled.

I could hear the remaining three boys moaning down the corridor – mainly Liam. It was on the lines of “… could have been more gentle!” with Niall and Harry mumbling things. I went to open the door, “Can you guys seriously not have lunch together without a fight breaking out?” I laughed.

“It’s not funny Zen! Niall’s just a man-eater, and you would have thought Harry was the sweet one – not anymore! He just rushed out!” Liam sighed.

“Well come in and we can all discuss our day.” I smiled making a ‘this way’ motion with my arms.

Zayn was quick to start his conversation without any hesitation, “Well I got to the coffee shop, and she was sitting on this two seated sofa by the window and the sun shone beautifully in her eyes – it was magnificent.” He went on to say. “I walked over to her with the flowers in my hand. Oh I forgot to mention I brought her some lilies. Well anyway, I put the lilies in my face and coughed, then said ‘a delivery of flowers and a man for Ms. Dell?’ in one of those delivery voices.” Zayn then got cut by Louis.

“Dude you don’t have a specific delivery voice.” Louis said with a look where you look at someone like their algebra.

“Just let him speak!” I said, laughing at Lou’s facial expression.

“Yeah as I was saying before I got interrupted.” His eyes drifting to Louis, “She giggled flirtatiously and took the flowers and said, ‘Thanks for the flowers but the man is not required’. But then I responded ‘No flowers, no man’. She knew how to play her card and said ‘Does the man enjoy coffee and a girls company?’ and I replied ‘Minus the coffee but the girls company without a doubt’ and then we both giggled. I took her seat next to her as she admired her lilies, and I asked her ‘Can I buy you a drink?’ She smiled and asked for a blonde roast coffee and a chocolate hazelnut slice” Zayns continued.

Was the cake slice nice?” Niall asked.

“What does it matter?!” Liam asked puzzled.

“A lot, thank-you very much – I may want to try it so need an opinion” Niall replied. He sure knew how to test Liam’s patience.

“Well you’d eat anything!” Liam mumbled, but we all managed to hear!

“Just continue this story, Zayn!” Harry said trying to get back on track.

“Well we sat and spoke over coffee about various things from her day to day life, to her dad. We also spoke about my life of how X Factor started as its new in America, so I think she was impressed to how far it can take you. Then we spoke about One Direction – mans she’s a fan!” Zayn laughed. “She also said how she’s coming over to London in a few weeks for a while to attend a few fashion shows and I offered to be her tour guide and she happily accepted!” Zayn continued feeling chuffed. “I also asked her out.” He said with coughs.

Everyone smiled to see Zayn happy, until we stopped and went silent.

“Wait what, you asked her out?” Liam asked picking up.

Zayn just looked at us. “Y- Yeah, was it a problem?” he asked thinking maybe he shouldn’t!

“Congrats man!” Niall cheered!
