" Hi! Kush...."

" Hey! Meera...."

His eyes weren't stable, they were starry. He pulled the glass next to her and gulped it down in a sip. It wasn't the usual hard drink that he'd prefer.

" Ah! Macallan... Smooth... " He wetted his lips and pressed them together.

" Your taste's...."

".... upgraded, isn't it?" She completed him.

" Yeah! I expected Apple Juice."

" Even I didn't expect you here, though." Meera said, cutting him loudly against the rambunctious of the French Pop Band.

" I love to do the unexpected. I love to prove people wrong. That's my thing, you know. "

" Of course. Lying is also one of those things that you love. Never mind..."

" Well, you have learnt it too, haven't you? Howz life?"

" Thanks to you. Can't be better. " Just as she said that a man sneeked behind her.

Tall, blonde and muscular. In a go one would say that he was perfect for her. And if Fate is on their side, so was she, for him.
But, Kush knew better than Fate that he was the only one who was perfect for her.

Even after half a decade, Kush could easily make out who he was. They were acquaintances from past, and a person he last expected to be with his love of life.

Yet, he was next to Meera while Kush wasn't, while all he could do was loathe all his cheesy actions.

She turned her face and in a swift moment, planted a kiss on his lips. They intertwined their hands together. Until Meera's eyes met Kush's.

She was putting up a good show, and he was aware of that. Things had reached a level which weren't only complicated but involving a fight of ego.
