Ruth-

"Another day darlin'." Daryl rolled over kissing my cheek.

"Let's make it a good one." I smiled patting his face. Daryl sat on the edge of the bed with a grunt, grabbed his cane, and stood to his feet with a groan.

"Damn I'm old." He cracked his back, then his neck.

"But still looking good." I was laying with my hands behind my head, looking him over. His face had a thick gray beard, his eyes aged, his shaggy hair was white and gray, he still had the same impressive muscles, and toned body, that made me drool.

"You too." He tore the blanket from me, exposing my skin to the crisp cool air, and I quickly curled up into a ball." Get up baby." He patted my leg, going toward the closet to get dressed.

I got up going over to the bathroom, gazing over myself. My hair was wavy, grey, with several streaks of white, It was down to the middle of my back. My body looked so weak and frail to me, but it always impressed me what I could still do. My skin was speckled in freckles, my scars had faded tremendously, but I was still decorated in the occasional bruise and cut. I pulled on the bracelets I kept from my sister, and the many Judith and the other children had made me; Judith loved making jewelry for everyone in the community, including the many other communities. Of course she out grew that years ago, her and Carl were the new leaders of our community, well Carl was, Judith was his second in command, Carl had settled down with Enid, and together they had two children, both boys that were well into their teen years.

Now I'm sure you're wondering, how the hell long has it been, well, from the count of the seasons, and that other astronomy mumbo jumbo it's been a little over thirty years. I was well into my sixties now, and Daryl was a very healthy, way into his seventies, seventy year old. I know, what?! It really is hard to be your age when you don't know exactly how old you are, but eh, I guess now days you just go with the way you feel. With everything having to be done with manual labor, not very many people made it to eighty, you were very lucky to make it to seventy, so I was getting worried for Daryl. Rick had passed on by now, died peacefully in his sleep a few years back. Michonne, she took his death very hard, soon dying a few days after him, that was a rough week for all of us. Maggie was still kicking, Hershel Jr. was running the Hilltop, that was up and going again. We were back in Alexandria, the houses we managed to build were very nice, they were all cabins but who was complaining, Daryl and I loved our place. The Kingdom was now like a market place, where most of the food was growing and being traded, there was clothing, and fabrics there, and other supplies, it was almost like a city, it was very busy and very packed. There were still gardens in all the communities, to keep the Kingdom going, everyone contributed to the Kingdom.

Now for Smalltown, where do I start, after burying Tucker, my dad didn't take it so well. I mean I was basically dead to him, and he hated Daryl for taking me away. My dad died well into his eighties, that was about ten years ago. When he was on his death bed he finally reconciled things with me, it was very bittersweet, because we finally mended everything, but he waited so long to do it. I missed him everyday, they hung a flag with a Punisher symbol on it in their community for him, the place was now run by one of the mechanics, a very sweet man named Frank. Now you're wondering what happened to Henry, well, he died in his home, he suffocated, his throat suddenly closed up, and it killed him; about fifteen years ago.

"Are you done in there babe?" Daryl spoke softly against the bathroom door.

"No, I was just washing my face, and fixing my hair, I'll be out in a sec." I called, combing my fingers through my hair, then put a loose braid in it. I left the bathroom, then went to my closet. I pulled on a pair of jeans, that had no holes in them, that was an improvement, a navy blue v-neck, and a grey and black flannel." I'm ready." I smiled, going back to the bathroom watching Daryl wet his hair.
