What Did I Do Wrong?

Elizabeth POV

I woke up with a sharp breeze slapping my face and the little hair on top of Meliodas' head brushing my cheek. Sir Meliodas was running in an open field to a city. I felt a bump on my head. "Meliodas- sama......?" I gently asked. Meliodas stopped running with a jolt, grabbed me off of his shoulder. He took me by the shoulders and stood me up right in front of him. Even though I was taller than him, I saw a look on his face that towered above any emotion I could express. His face was as dark as night, and I couldn't see his shiny emerald eyes anymore. It was covered up by what once was some bubbly blonde hair, but now was only a cloak to conceal the darkness he felt. I got on my knees so he could be taller than me, and he continued to lament by the look of me. What did I do wrong?

Meliodas POV

What did I do wrong? I had tried to protect her, and all I could do was hurt her. I was flying away so she would stop getting closer to a fate she didn't deserve, but I may have sped up the process. I didn't have much time. I had to get her to a doctor's office, and NOT the same one that she brought me to. That was close. If only I had stopped her there, near Baste Prison, and thanked her for helping, and I should have assured her that we would win the war. But without her, thousands of people would have died, and my smelly little Captain of the Scraps wouldn't still be alive. I snapped out of my memory and kept running. I left King near the stream, he lived in a forest his entire life. He was beginning to be able to fly when I left. I bet he's alright. I picked up Elizabeth once again, and kept running. I wanted more than anything but to kiss her. To hold her in an embrace- to forget that nothing else would separate us- no one would be hurt-no one would get hurt- and I wouldn't have to face my brother during the Holy War.

Please, bring me back to a better time, when the Sins were about to reunite and we were having dinner with everyone. But the only thing wrong with my only happy memory was that Elizabeth was hurt. Can't I go ANYWHERE without the people I love getting hurt. My friend, King, with an arrow stab in his back, my princess, Elizabeth, wouldn't have a bloody bump on her head.

I approached the city, old and warn down like an old blanket. Elizabeth was too tired and weak to fight back at me while I carried her throughout the open field.

King POV

As my duty, as a friend and as a follower, I absolutely HAD to tell Diane and Ban that Princess Elizabeth was hurt. I flew up towards Hawk's mom and entered the tavern.

"BAN! DIANE! ELIZABETH WAS HURT IN THE FOREST OF WHITE DREAMS AND NOW CAPTAIN IS IN ONE OF HIS MOODS!!!" I exclaimed. Us Sins had gotten so accustomed to Captain being worried. He wasn't really like that 11 years ago [so this would be before the Sins were split up], but ever since he met Princess Elizabeth, he's been so anxious. He's actually vented to me before. I had never seen Captain vent to ANYONE, so it was a huge honor to be in that place. But in order to stay in that place, he had to trust me. And he trusts me to help him.

"Okay, King!" Diane shouted. She had that determined look on her face like when Princess Elizabeth was kidnapped from that Holy Knight. Her pigtails flew behind her as she full on sprinted towards the closest town: Bricklewhyte. That town has been run-down for the past 60 years. There was no one there, but I bet Captain would take Princess Elizabeth somewhere safe.

Ban was past help. He was so drunk he was fast asleep in such a position that he looked electrocuted. His leg was near his head, his arm was behind his leg, and his head was tilted a whole 90 degrees. His drool sped down his cheek like a waterfall, and his hair was in crazy style. I had been friends with Ban for a while, and I know when it's time just to back off.  

I felt personally responsible for Princess Elizabeth's injuries. I had tried to help her, and just because I got shot in the back, I hurt her. Maybe she might die-----Oh, I was trying to help! What did I do wrong?
