Elizabeth POV

His black boots smacked the wooden planks, as he slowly walked towards me.

"Ah, so brother has found another lady, has he?" Zeldris said with a snicker, a laugh, and a  smile only a true demon could pull off. His head tilted to the side, and he examined my now ghost white petrified face. I had never met  him in person before, and I wish I'd stay that way. His black eyes had no sparkle like Meliodas's. I felt threatened by his look, let alone the way he spoke to me. He bent down so we were talking eye-to-eye.

"Brother always hits it off with your type....." He sneered. He rolled his eyes.

Gathering all of my courage, I asked, "And what type do you think I am?"

He looked at me, and stepped back, almost shocked that I dare mutter any word of any meaning to him. It was as if I was some sort of wild animal to him, one who didn't know anything, and that should kneel before its master. He let out a pure laugh.

"The helpless type."

I was shocked at how rude he was, could he really be related to Meliodas? Meliodas has always described Zeldris as calm and collected, but the dark stare he gave me was anything but calm. He looked at me like scum, and asked, "Where is he?"

I knew that Meliodas and Zeldis didn't get along by what Meliodas said. So I said nothing.

*flashback*

"Do you have any family?" I asked Meliodas. He stared blankly into the distance, thought a little while... and said, "I have a father, and two younger brothers."

"I would like to meet them! If they're related to you, they must be amazing!"

Meliodas blushed at my remark, probably embarassed about the complement I gave him.

But sternly, he said, "I hope you never have to meet them."

"Why?" I asked. "Are they bad people?"

"Let's just say you'd be disappointed. I mean, no one can be as awesome as this guy, right?" Meliodas joked. I knew he wanted to change the subject. Meliodas doesn't usually take long pauses between everything he says. What was wrong with them?  I thought.

*end of flashback*

"I'm going to make this easier for you." Zeldris said. He lifted his sword from his satchel, and put it right next to me. "I'll ask again. Where is he?"

I swallowed, fearing that all he had left in his soul was pure hatred. What did Meliodas do that made him so mad? Whatever I did always resulted in my sisters and father just laughing or giving me a hug and telling me it's alright.

I coughed, pretending I couldn't speak due to my injury; but it was after I realized that I had spoken to him already. My trick wouldn't work.

I was rendered helpless.

I opened my mouth to shout for Meliodas's help, but Zeldris rested his sword on my lips.

"Shh, shh, shhh..... we don't want him to get hurt, do we?"

I started crying, so overwhelmed by the fact a sword of a very powerful person was resting on my now bleeding lips.

"Don't cry! If you tell me where he is, then I'll let you live. If you're going to be a stubborn little girl, then maybe you can join Liz on the other side, where you little know-it-alls go. Liz was Meliodas's other girlfriend that I tortured. You don't know about Liz? Yes, I had Fraudrin, one of my fellow Commandments take care of her, and each day, I'd slip a little note to her saying, 'You love him? Too bad!' and she'd always get a big fright about it. She never told Meliodas about it. Pity. I would have gotten to see his frightened face too...."

I grabbed his sword, and pulled myself up, looking him straight in the eyes.

"Fiesty, aren't you? Liz was just the same." He said as he lowered his sword.

I gulped and continued to stare into his eyes. However, he flicked his wrist, making a fire appear right beside the window. My eyes flashed in the direction of Meliodas's room; praying he got the memo. However, Zeldris flicked his wrist again, and the fire was gone.

"Thank you!" He said as he trotted towards the door. I was very confused. I had not told him anything, much less tell him about Meliodas. How did he even know Meliodas was in here?

"Wha-wha-wha-what did I tell you?" I stuttered. "I didn't say anything!"

"Now, little girl, when I started the fire, your eyes flew to the direction Brother's room is in. Fire brings out the passion in us, do you not understand?" Zeldris sneered as he stroked my chin in a menacing way;  slowly, surely. "Now, I'll see you later after I have a little talk with Brother."

Zeldris waved, and I tried to grab him by his collar and drag him back, but my back hurt so bad when I reached out, I collapsed to the floor. With a soft click, the door closed.
