Meliodas POV

*knock knock knock*

I pounded on the door of the only house in the city. It was raining, and the only shelter was under this house. The house had all sorts of holes, dead wood, cracked stone, and a fallen in roof. I heard crackles of fire inside the building- so there must be someone either here or around here. "PLEASE?" I screamed, "PLEASE I HAVE SOMEONE VERY BADLY INJURED AND I REALLY NEED SOME HELP- PLEASE!!!" I dropped to my knees. Elizabeth dropped to the ground behind me. Tears streamed down my face, but they were hidden by the drops of rain sprinkling on my face. "Please....please help my princess." I begged. No one answered.

Maybe.....now is the right time, I thought. I knew it was right, maybe I would never see her beautiful lively eyes again. I wasn't able to save Liz, and now history is about to repeat itself. Please, someone save my princess.

I sobbed on Elizabeth's tired body. However, my sobs were interrupted when I head a call from the west. "Hey! What are you doing out here?" a man asked. He was tall, pale, and had a whole lot of brown hair.

[Side Note: I thought it might be a little down in the dumps, so I promise this scene will be funny!]

"Hey, kid? Did something happen?" The man asked as he approached me. I tilted my head to the side. I'm not a kid.

The man's eyes widened at the sight of Elizabeth on the ground against the door. "Oh my gosh! Is your mom okay?" He asked in a worried tone. I could not help but laugh. The laugh was pitiful, sad, and next to just a cry, but I am not a kid, and Elizabeth IN NO WAY could be my mother. "Please, can you help her?" I asked. He nodded. I picked up Elizabeth. He looked astonished at my ability to pick up Elizabeth with such ease. Could he not do the same?

Elizabeth was now in a small bed, wrapped and bandages, and I, by her bedside, was watching her. I wasn't being like a stalker, but more passionately. I tilted my head, ready for the events coming closer in the future. I closed my eyes, and our lips touched. Please, keep me in this time, where I could care for her, and she would bandage my heart without even touching me. Her presence made me explode inside, and when she opened her eyes tomorrow, she would know that I will protect her. I made a promise to her back near Baste Prison, and I plan to keep it. Even if I Should Die. Please, Elizabeth, if I loved you, would you love me not only as a captain, but as a lover? Our lips were locked in a kiss, and no matter what, I would not leave.

"Why hello------OH MY? Um...having some quality Mommy time?" The man said as he entered the doorway. I had to leave my lovely embrace for a second, to preserve any dignity I had left. I blushed a smoky red.

"Ummmm....uh....." I stuttered.

"Oh, is this a bad time? I can go---" He responded.

"NO! I mean, no. I need you to help me find a doctor around here. She accidentally fell on a rock in a ditch while she was playing tag with----us children...." I said. I had to go along with whatever the man said. I couldn't reveal our identities, just because. Even though the Sins were now praised as heroes, people still don't forgive us for their husbands and fathers lost in the war against us. I didn't want to risk Elizabeth's immediate safety.

The man smiled. "Well it just happens to be that my sister, Yuki, is a nurse!" I gasped. Finally, I had come across someone who could help! I ran to the man, giving his tiny little waist a huge hug. "THANK YOU SO MUCH!" I cried. "YOU HAVE NO IDEA HOW MUCH ELIZA-----MOMMY MEANS TO ME!" I had been inches away from revealing Elizabeth.

"No problem!" He said, "Oh, and you never got my name! I'm Kyoto! I use to be the bookshop owner in Danafall before that stupid Meliodas came and ruined everything---" The peppy tone in his voice slowly decrescendo-ed into a sad and lamenting echo. I bet he had lost everything. I noticed a little picture of his family behind him in the kitchen. I thought it not courteous to mention. Maybe it was personal. Most people would think it odd hearing their own name being called in a sad tone. Ive gotten used to it. But Im not stupid, and IM NOT A KID!!!

"Thank you, Mr. Kyoto!" I responded.

"Oh, but when I give you my name, you give me your name! That's how the real world works! I'd not expect you to know because of your age, but that's how friends are made. We're friends, right?" He asked.

I had no idea how to respond. So, I remembered a little nickname Ban gave me at the battle festival we went to last year.

"My name is Meliodaf, and this is my mother Matrona!" I quickly responded, my face turning the color of Mr. Kyoto's scarlet bow tie. I know that Elizabeth was not called Matrona at the festival, but Diane was, and Diane isn't here right now.

"Oh!" the man seemed fooled by my not-so-clever nickname, "Nice to meet you, Meliodaf! Why don't I introduce you to Yuki?" I nodded.

I followed Kyoto into the living room, where I saw Gowther.

[Bet you weren't expecting that!]

Of all the places Gowther could hang out, he chose this little house. Gowther was in a disguise, he had brown hair, tan skin, and he was.... well... female. Being a doll, I guess he could do that sort of stuff. I didn't want to expose to Kyoto that his so-called sister was just an allusion Gowther had put in his head, so I kept my lips shut.

"Hello, Ms. Yuki!" I said, raising my voice an octave to appear younger. However, during this time, I realized how high my actual voice was compared to Ban's or Little Gil's. I then stopped pretending, pretended it was a frog in my throat, and continued to talk in my normal tone.

"Hello, Meliodaf." Gowther responded in his usual monotone voice. His voice hadn't changed. "So your Mommy is hurt?"

"Yes, please help!" I said as I fell on the floor, bawling. I was extremely confused on the inside. Was I crying because I was acting, or was it out of true emotion?

Gowther sharply turned to Kyoto. "This is no child, and that is not his mother." He stated. My eyes widened and I shook a little.

"Uhh... what? I'm TOTALLY her son. See? We have the same hair!" I shouted. I stroked her hair, and picked some up and put it next to mine. "See?!?!"

Kyoto was very confused. To be honest, I was the same, but I had no choice. "Yes, Yuki, you've got this wrong. Their hair is obviously the same." He said. I was undeniably relieved. When Kyoto turned his back I signaled three things to Gowther:

Chill, shut up, or you're dead for good.

Gowther nodded in understanding. I guess he couldn't understand the fact that having Kyoto know who we were (and who his sister was) could be a threat to Elizabeth. "Is the princess alright?" He asked. Apparently he had not comprehended that he was not to speak of the matter at hand.

Kyoto noticed this time, and knew something was up. "Do you two know each other?" He asked with an edge.
"We met at a-----" I studdered"
"MARKETPLACE!" Gowther added.

Kyoto shrugged and began to boil some potatoes.
