Chapter 5

Edan's POV

Right now I'm sitting in my office with my a jerk whom I call my best friend. His name is Michael a.k.a Mike we are best friends since college. We are like brothers and are always there for each other.

When I told him about what happened and I expected him to help me show that girl her place. Instead he is sitting in front of me laughing his ass off and wiping tears from the corner of his eyes.

"Shut Up!", I screamed at him.

"Someone's male ego is hurt", he teased after composing himself.

"If you weren't my best friend you would have been dead by now", I glared at him.

"If have an idea! I will make her fall for me and after that I will leave her like trash. What do you say? I think this is a very good plan!" I said.

I glanced at him and he was sitting there with his jaw dropped and shock plastered on his face.

"Dude what the hell? Don't you think this is too much? You know you should respect the fact that she is not throwing herself at you like other girls do! How will you feel when I do something like that to Hailey?" He bursted out angrily.

"Don't drag my sister in this ok? And I will never let something like that happen to her? And don't you dare try this because I swear I'll kill you. She loves you very much", I replied.

"Dude relax! I love Hailey. I will never do such a thing to her. See you can't even imagine someone hurting her but you can do that to another girl?", he said calmly.

I gave it a thought well he's right but I want to do something. After a few moments I told him, "But still I want to do something!"

"She is your employee right? So you can make her work extra maybe. But don't be extreme, ok?" He suggested.

"OK Dad!" I replied sarcastically.

He laughed and said, "OK I'm going now I have to take your sis for shopping!"

"Don't come to me when you go bankrupt, ok?" He just laughed and went out of my office. Well, my sister loves to shop and when she goes for shopping she spends so much and buys so much of stuff.

Samantha's POV

I am getting ready now and last night's incident kept playing in my mind. How the hell will I face him now? It will be so embarrassing and awkward. I mentally scolded myself that it was his fault not mine. I glanced at at my wrist watch it's 8:30 already and I have a meeting at 9:00 with him and the rest of the board of directors.

I quickly put on my flats. Yes flats! I don't want to get embarrassed again because of those stupid heels. I took my handbag and car keys on my way out. I drove to the office and quickly ran towards the conference room because it's already 9:02. After taking a deep breath I entered the room.

"I'm sorry gentleman for being late!" I apologised and sat at my chair. I glanced at him and he is sitting there with his infamous smirk.

"So gentleman where was I? Before we were interrupted... yes so our new project will be handled by Miss Samantha Jones and she can take help from Miss Williams and Mr Martins. I want this project to be completed in two months before the launch or else you will be fired." He said looking at me with a smirk.

My jaw dropped and my eyes widened. Two months only!! And I have to do that all alone. Shit he is taking a revenge from me. Well then I will also prove it to him that I can do it.

"OK Mr Anderson! Thank you for thinking that I'm capable of handling this project. I promise I won't let you down." I said calmly with a smile showing no signs of panic.

He smirk disappeared and he stared at me for a while and then quickly composed himself.

"Very well then this meeting is over!" He announced and walked out of room.
