Dean clutched his daughter to his chest as he had an angel blade at the ready for the impending problem that just landed on the roof of their bunker.

"Dean, you can't possibly take on these angel's with your newborn daughter in your hands." Sam pointed out, also wielding an angel blade.

"Did you have a better idea Sammy? We can't leave her alone!" Dean hugged his daughter closer and kissed her frail hair as she fussed in his arms. The hunter could never let his daughter down, especially since he was alone and promised her since the moment she was born that she would look over her for the rest of her life, even when he is long gone. Sam looked to his brother with pursed lips before he heard the eerily familiar voices.

"Dean and Sam Winchester. My, my, what a very interesting family you have started here." Akriel said with a smirk. The older hunter adjusted Nova in his arms before holding the angel blade out to the angel as they responded with a chuckle. "You think you can hurt us with that? Besides, it shouldn't matter, we're here for a peaceful offering." Akriel pointed out.

"And what would that be?" Dean asked, never dropping his guard for good reason. Akriel cleared her throat before going into an explanation.

"We take your daughter in return for your immunity from all angels, no matter how...extensive your crime might be." She explained as Dean stood in defense, still holding his daughter close to his chest as she fussed from hunger and fatigue.

"Not a chance in hell. She is mine and only mine and nobody else's." Dean snapped back.

"Yes, but she is also part angel; a piece of heaven to be more technical."

"No! You guys abandoned Cas the minute he opened his mouth to us. He was no longer an angel of heaven." Dean choked back a few tears at the past tense words he used. He missed his angel. "My daughter is a result of a hunter and a rebel of heaven. She has nothing to do with you angel's. Never did."

Akriel smirked, stepping closer to the hunters as Sam stepped in front of his older brother and protectively placed his hand over his niece. "You need to leave. Right now." Sam sternly said, making himself look taller by stretching his neck up in defense.

The angel put her hands up in defense but keeping a stern look to her face, never breaking eye contact with the brothers and the newborn.

"For now, we will leave you alone. But we will be back for your daughter." Akriel turned to leave but was quickly stopped and turned back to the brothers.

"What if I sweetened the deal?" She asked.

"What deal is there to sweeten? We have no deal to begin with!" Sam interjected before Dean could even open his mouth.

"I think you would like this deal. It brings a certain puzzle piece back in play." With a snap of her fingers, another being appeared before all of them with a certain confused look on its face before turning soft at the sight of the hunter and his daughter.

"Cas?" Dean asked. The angel sighed and gave a crooked smile at the sight of his family. "Hello Dean."

"You can have Castiel back in return for your child. Simple as that, and heaven will never bother you again. You, your brother, and your rebellious angel." Akriel smiled, trying to seem sincere and Dean almost bought into it.

The hunter thought it through carefully and thought it over again. He could have Castiel back. He could have his life back before it was destroyed by the death of his angel but revitalized by his daughter. He could be himself again.

"This...this can't be real. Castiel isn't standing here, right here, there is not a chance in hell!" Dean grew frustrated as he bounced his daughter his arms to try and calm her from his outburst.

"Your angel is here! He is all yours if you just hand over your daughter and we will leave you alone for the rest of your natural-born life." The angel stepped forward and stuck her hand out for the newborn.

Dean closed his eyes and was on the verge of tears, cradling Nova's head in his large hand as Sam put his arm around his brother. "Dean, you know it's not real." Sam answered back to his brother. The older hunter felt tired from his fight, and it's only been a couple days.

"Akriel, you need to leave. Right now." Dean handled his daughter to one hand and his angel blade in the other. Sam released his hand from his brother's shoulder as he stood by Dean and stood with his angel blade as well.

With a snap of her fingers, Cas melted away and the three were left alone once again. The deafening silence was obvious that nobody wanted to be in that room anymore and their meeting was closely coming to an end.

"You, Dean Winchester, will forever be hunted by heaven." She warned as Dean just laughed.

"When haven't I?!" He responded. The angel cleared her throat angrily before disappearing in a whirl of wind and wing flapping. Dean placed his angel blade on the table before holding Nova in both arms lovingly and kissing her frail head.

"I wouldn't give you up for the world baby girl. Never in a million years." Dean whispered, bouncing her in his hands and keeping her against his chest. The hunter had never wanted to keep something so precious so safe before.

"You did a good thing Dean. I know it was hard, but you stayed strong." Sam congratulated him as he kissed his niece then grabbed the car keys. "Is there anything else you need besides baby formula and groceries?" Sam asked, keeping the angel blade in his other hand as he was on his way out the door.

"Just the formula should be fine. I'm gonna lay her down for a nap, she's had a rather...weird day today." Dean bounced her in his arms as he disappeared behind the wall to the hallway and took her to her nursery as Sam left for a run into town.

The older hunter laid her down in her crib as she calmly sucked on her fist before her eyes started to drift until they fully closed and she fell asleep. Dean smiled, watching over her and rubbing her tiny chest. His hand could wrap around her whole body by her small size and that made his heart swell with anxiety yet joy as this tiny human being was actually his and only his. That filled him with even more anxiety about what to do with himself and the future for his daughter.

"Oh baby girl, what am I gonna do with you?" Dean whispered, kissing his hand and setting it to Nova's forehead before smiling and sitting back in the rocking chair that was in the corner of her room just to watch over her. The smile never leaving his face.
