"Hey," I whispered, trying to play it off.
"Don't 'hey' me," Steven said pulling me into the house and quietly closing the door."Do you know how upset Bails got when she noticed you left?" he said running a hand through his messy hair. "She was freaking out, wondering why you didn't just tell her that you weren't staying!" I saw the concern in his eyes and realised that maybe he did care for me.
"Sorry. I took the long way. I didn't mean to be gone that long, plus I didn't think..." I stopped myself from spilling my feelings to someone who doesn't need to be in the shadow of my misery.
"You didn't think what? That she actually cares about you, that I care about you, because Timberly, I do." Ugh, he's starting the guilt trip."I care about you so much, your like my little sister, Tim." I put my finger to his lips to shush him for a minute. All this mushy shit is hurting my head.
"Listen, I get that you're a feely, touchy guy, but I have to tell you. I'm not interested." he gave me a blank stare and I walked into the kitchen to wash my hands (old habit). "You're simply not my type. And plus I'm more like an older sister. It may only be a few month's, but that still counts. Sorry Stevie, you're just gonna have to find another starry eyed girl, looking for deep romance." I looked up and saw the light reflect off of a pair of glasses in the hall, "like Bailey." I smiled and walked over to Steven patting his shoulder and mouthed 'You're welcome' eying the hall where Bailey decided to join us.
"Uh, morning Bails," Steven started nervously as I left the two in the living room. I went to open the door to my room when the knob wouldn't turn, feeling stupid I walked back to the living room to ask if she had a spare key but stopped mid sentence to find them full on making out on the floor. Steven was in pushup position over Bailey, her arms wrapped around his neck as his lips moved from her lips down to the tips of her chest. Bailey parts her lips letting out a soft moan of pleasure.
"Steve," she said as his lips connected with hers.
"Ehem, Bailey?" they freeze at the sound of my voice," Oh, please don't stop, I was just wondering if you have a key to the room?" i said sliding past them to the front door.
"Um," Bailey pushed steven off of her and crawled over to the coffee table next the couch, "Here," She pulled the keys out of a draw and watched as I cautiously took the keys and strode back toward the hall.
"Thanks. And Bailey?"
"Y-yes," Bailey heaved pulling her bra strap back onto her shoulder.
"I do believe that your bed would be much more appropriate for," I paused gazing at them, "whatever that was." I finished walking back to the door that led to my temporary room.
