Later that morning Bailey came in and started to warm up coffee and rummage through the draws grabbing bowls and spoons, three mugs. She hadn’t noticed me sitting on the couch until she turned to the sink in the island to start rising vegetables.”Oh,” She jumped and dropped whatever food product that was in her hand,”Morning, I didn’t here you get up.”

“You wouldn’t have,”I said holding my gare on the window.”I’ve been up since midnight.”

“Um, do you want anything to drink or eat?” She continue to rinse.

“No,” I stretched my neck so that I was looking at her and gave her a small smile.

“Okay,” She shrugged. She started to hum and after a while Isaiah came in and sat on the floor. “Hey bub,” Bailey said not looking up from her cutting board.”You want some coffee?” He quickly nodded and walked into the kitchen, grabbing a mug after Bailey poured some liquid into it.

“Gooooood Moooorning.” Steven walked in from Baileys room stretching his arms in the air. Inhaling,”Smells like coffee.” Bailey smiled looking down at her cutting board as Stevie walked by her to the pot.”How’d everyone sleep?” He said turning and leaning on the counter, eyeing me.”Did you even go back to the room?”he said taking a sip of his coffee.

“No,” I mumbled to the ground. Steven walked over the ‘front room’ and sat on the armrest of the couch next to me. He looked down at my hands and I squeezed them shut, but not quick enough. He reached down and peeled my fingers back.

“Did this happen last night?” He asked, only to me, examining the deep cuts on my palms. I only looked away as  his soft hands gently pushed the swollen skin around the cuts. He pulled my hands which caused me to flinch. I pulled my hands away as I stood up and walked into the kitchen.

“So,” I said picking up a mug,”what’s this plan you guys are talking about?” Bailey looked excited and she glared at Stevie, then looked at me with her one of a kind smile.

“Well,”She put down what was in her hand and walked to the front room and sat on the couch. I followed her into the room and sat next to her brother on the ground.

She filled me in letting me know that we are going to Bradley's Mansion with a friend of hers and after two hours we were going to leave her friend there in the middle of a 32,000 square foot house that was owned by one of the world's biggest criminals. But she didn’t know that last bit, about Bradley being a criminal and all.

“But after a couple hours I’ll call him and tell him that we’re at the hotel waiting for him,” She finished off. To me that wasn’t a prank. That was one of the meanest things to do to a person, but I didn’t ask any questions I just nodded and smiled.

“When is this thing going down?” I asked curious to see if I’ll have to be dragged to it or not. I still had to go to my Grammy’s service later today.

“Friday,”Steven answered with a big smile, rubbing his hands together like an evil scientist.

That’s in two days. I thought to myself. Maybe by then i can find my own place and won’t have to go. A timer went off, pulling me out of my thoughts. Bailey stood up announcing that breakfast was ready. Steven and Isaiah followed her into the kitchen but I stayed laying on the ground trying not to let my eyelids fall closed. I jumped when Stevie placed a plate full of fried veggies on the ground next to my head.

“Maybe you should go take a nap,” He said sitting down with his own healthy plate of breakfast.”You look terrible.”

“Thanks,” I groand as I sat up and picked up my plate.”But I can’t sleep.” I bit into my fried veggies and was surprised to taste the saltiness in them. Nodding my head in approval I took another bite. Steven noticed my one sided conversation and flashed a fat smile in my direction. Rolling my eyes I finished stuffing the food into mouth and stood up to take my plate to the sink. When I got into the kitchen I heard Stevie and Bailey’s mumbles and giggles. I turned to look at the clock on the oven, it said 11:30. I walked back into the front room to hear Bailey and Steven hush. “I need to go.” I said ignoring their blank stares.

“Where you headed?” Steven asked standing up from the couch. I looked from him to Bailey to Isaiah and back to him.”Not that I need to know,” he said slowly sitting down as I gave him my death stare. When no one else had anything to say I turned and walked toward the room that I currently occupied. Once I got in the room I shut and locked the door. I slipped the crowbar back into my bag and zipped it up. I stood throwing the strap over my shoulder as I walked over to the window.

I shouldn’t be gone that long. I thought to myself as I opened the window and carefully pulled the screen out. I just need to check on a few things. I jumped out of the window pulling it mostly closed and quickly making my way onto the pavement. I walked down a few blocks until I found the bus stop and got on the next bus. The bus dropped me off across the street from my Aunts house. Before walking the opposite way I turned to look at the hell hole that used to hold me hostage. Fuck those people. I held my middle finger up in the direction of the house then continued walking down the street.
