Chapter Thirteen: Boss Battle in Jungle Zone

....He could feel soft hands snaking around him, holding him close... The sound of low content purring as his own fingers caressed and twirled in that soft, silky white chest fur... Warm lips were on his, kissing gently with such tender passion that made his breath hitch and desire filled his heart as his tongue probed that wet cavern desperately... Slowly his fingers lowered, continuing to caress the soft fur on those firm abdomen muscles, feeling the involuntary twitch of pleasure his touch brought his lover... His ears filled with the sound of heavy purring and quick breaths, his lips lowering with small nibbles along that tanned jawline down to the neck where he nuzzled sweetly, his chin now being tickled by that mussed up chest fluff...

"Hedgehog..."

...Oh, how he longed to hear more of that low, rumbling baritone voice that oozed sensually through him, he wanted it to moan, to long for him, want him as much as he wanted it... Who knew feeling this safe and secure could be so freeing and stimulate his arousal in such a way... He could feel those hard biceps surround him, kept in check by tenderness as he continued to nuzzle, the purring getting louder... How he never wanted to leave this safe cocoon of love...

"Hedgehog.." The voice sounded more insistently, it was not quite as lust-driven and close by, part of his mind seemed to be drawn towards it, wilfully following his love... He could feel shaking too and immediately everything except that loud rolling purring seemed to just slip away into blackness before he was suddenly very aware that he was lying on something very solid....

"Huh, what?" Sonic murmured groggily as he peeled his eyes open and pushed himself up, the purring in his ears stopped the moment he consciously became aware that he had been doing it.

"Did I interrupt a good dream?" Shadow's voice sounded as the black hedgehog with red stripes came into focus. He was hovering beside the tree, the faint roar of his boot-thrusters hummed in the air. "You were purring pretty loud.." He adding with the edge of a mischievous smirk, one eye ridge lifting in mild amusement.

"Oh um, heh, it was something.." Sonic muttered with a guilty grin before stretching and yawning, only now noticing that the sun was just beginning to rise over the rainforest canopy. "Hey Shad, what time is it?"

"Breakfast time. I already went foraging.." Shadow responded lightly before he clicked his heels and his boot-thrusters cut out making him drop to the forest floor once more. He bent his knees upon impact with the ground and touched base with one hand before straightening, an arrogant smirk twisting his lips as he turned away.

Determined not to be outdone Sonic got up and stretched his back to loosen the stiff feeling from sleeping on the hard bark of the tree, a small crack sounding. He then leapt out of the tree intending to land foot first onto the soft brown mush of the rainforest floor. However Shadow teleported underneath and caught him mid drop, still wearing that irritatingly arrogant and oddly perky smirk as he set the blue adult hedgehog on his feet.

"Thanks Shad but I didn't need your help." Sonic muttered narrowing his eyes a little trying to brush off the awkwardness he felt before any blush could erupt forth, secretly liking the gentlemanly care he had received.

"I didn't want you to hurt your back again. I heard it crack." Shadow replied before picking up the green fruit that was blushed with plum-red and passing it to the blue hedgehog who settled on the log in front of the ash pit that had been their fire the night before.

"What is this?" Sonic asked curiously, his lip curled a little as he had never been overly keen on his fruit and vegetables. However Shadow's cooking had slowly started to change his opinion on certain items so for him he was prepared to keep an open mind.
