Rome

My mind went into a frenzy, my blood was boiling, and I couldn't even attempt to calm myself down. Everything that I told Candace went out of the window. I had to beat this nigga's ass. In such a short amount of time, I found myself on the ground with Damien, furiously punching him with all the strength I had in me. Everything seemed to be moving in slow motion while every punch I threw sent some sort of electric shock up my arm. I heard vague cries from Candace, telling me to stop. I ignored it though. Candace looked pretty mad and ended up storming inside of the house. I probably should've stopped and went after her but Damien was my main focus at the moment. He was definitely trying to put up a fight but I was too strong for him. Blood from his mouth covered my knuckles and my hand was starting to cramp up, but that wasn't about to stop me from ending this nigga. I gave him multiple blows to the head and his body, clearly seeing that he was getting tired and in intense pain. Suddenly, I felt myself being pulled off of him. Turns out Candace went inside to get help and had Chanel help her to get me away from him. Once finally pulling me inside of the house, Candace went back outside to make sure that Damien and Kennedy were both leaving before coming back inside to tend to me. I reached my arms out so that she could hug me but she completely ignored my gesture.

"Have you lost your damn mind Rome?!" Candace asked furiously. I was about to answer her but she proceeded in talking. "I tell you not to fight him and what do you do? You fight him!"

"Well in my defense, he asked for it. I didn't invite him over him. He was trespassing. So technically, I did the right thing by fighting him and defending not only myself, but my property." I said confidently as I watched her face turn to a look of anger. She always gets upset when I say something that makes sense in an argument.

"Shut up." She rolled her eyes as she took a seat across from me.

"I really don't see why you're upset." I shrugged, sitting back on the couch.

"I'm upset because I didn't want you to fight him! You don't think before you do things!" She exclaimed. "I don't want you getting into anymore legal trouble. You told me you would chill out... You know he can press charges against you right?"

"Well I'm glad my girl's a lawyer." I grinned while she stale-faced me and stood up to walk away.

"Why you getting up?" I asked as I stood up and followed behind her. "Don't tell me you're really mad about this."

She stopped and turned to me. "You're not taking this seriously. You think this is a joke! This is really serious, Rome." She complained, crossing her arms.

"I know, I know." I sighed. "I am taking this seriously though."

"You're really not." Candace shook her head.

"Well I'll start. Just don't be mad. You know I hate it when you're mad at me." I said, grabbing both of her hands to hold. "Come on, talk to me."

"I really need for you to start thinking about stuff before you do it." Candace began as we walked back to the living room.

"Yeah, you're right. I'm gonna work on it though." I assured her as we both plopped back down on the couch.

"I'm serious. If we're gonna be together, that's something you need to work on because whether you believe it or not, your actions affect me. I'm pregnant Rome. I don't need to be put into any stressful situations." She explained to me while I nodded my head in agreement.
