Candace
It's been a couple weeks since Daryn has been home and things have been so hectic. Rome and I finally eloped but with Daryn here, we had no time for alone time or any type of intimacy. I feel like I'm doing this all on my own. Rome is always working and I'm usually by myself unless someone visits or if Chanel is home, but she's usually with Rocky. The days were typically lonely until Rome comes home in the evening. Currently, I had a bottle warming up in the bottle warmer for Daryn while he sat in his high chair and played with his rattle. I looked around the kitchen, thinking of anything else that I needed to do. I had to take the clothes out of the dryer, clean Daryn's bottles, bathe him after he finishes his bottle, and put him to sleep.
"Hey baby." Rome said, knocking me out of my reverie as he walked into the kitchen. I didn't even hear him come in the house.
"Hey." I lightly smiled before giving him a quick peck on the lips. I grabbed the bottle from the bottle warmer and fed Daryn while Rome sat down at the table where I had his plate ready for him.
"I thought you were gonna cook some chicken?" Rome asked while looking at the plate of spaghetti that I had made.
"I was but Daryn was giving me a hard time and spaghetti was the quickest thing I could make while he was napping." I told him.
"Damn, I really was looking forward to that chicken." Rome sighed before he started to eat.
I stopped feeding Daryn and turned to Rome. "Well Rome, if you want chicken so bad then why don't you make it yourself." I said before taking the chicken out of the freezer and tossing it in front of him on the table.
"Aye you need to relax. I'm fine with the spaghetti." Rome told me while shaking his head.
"Obviously not. You over there huffing and puffing and shit. You lucky I even cooked you anything." I said before I started to feed Daryn again.
"All I said was that I was looking forward to eating some chicken." Rome argued. "I don't even see how that can turn into an argument."
"Okay." I simply replied.
"You know what, a few of my teammates invited me out to eat with them. I think I'm just going to head there." Rome stood up from the table.
"Wait, you mean to tell me that I cooked dinner just for your ungrateful ass to tell me that you're gonna go out to dinner with your teammates instead??" I asked, setting the bottle down from Daryn's mouth again.
"Aye you need to watch who you're talking to. What the hell is your issue? You acting like you still pregnant or something." Rome exclaimed.
"You really want to know what my issue is??" I asked him. "My issue is that I'm at home all day cleaning your mess, cooking for you, and taking care of your son! I don't get to go out with my friends! I don't get to rest! I don't get free time! That's all you! Nobody's here to help me, I'm doing this all on my own! And you really have the nerve to ask me what my issue is??" I yelled while I felt the tears streaming down my cheeks.
"Well if you really needed help around the house or with Daryn, you should've spoke up." Rome told me.
"I shouldn't have to speak up! This is your house too. He's your son too!" I shook my head.
