[One Week Later]
Candace
"Where are we going?" I groaned while sitting up on my seat. Rome had told me to take off of work this week because he had a surprise for me. We've been sitting on this private jet for what seems like forever. I was getting irritable and just ready to get off.
"Relax, we're almost there." He smiled as he rested his head against the headrest. He had all of the jet windows closed so I couldn't even attempt to look outside and see where we were at.
"You know, I'm starting to not like surprises from you." I rolled my eyes.
"You'll love this one." He smiled confidently before the pilot's voice blared from the intercom, telling us to fasten our seat belts. I could feel the jet descending and I was getting even more eager to see where Rome has decided to take me. Once the jet came to a complete stop, I quickly unfastened my seat belt and stood up with my purse in hand. Rome chuckled and shook his head at my eagerness before also standing up. He grabbed my hand and escorted me off of the jet with him. We got off of the jet and I looked around, still confused on where we were.
"Where are we?" I pouted while he laughed.
"I'm not telling you." He said as we walked inside of the small terminal. I looked around, trying to at least find the name of this airport but I was still confused. We walked out of the airport and was greeted by a chauffeured car. Now that we were outside, I could finally see the name of this place.
Paris Le Bourget
My eyes widened. "We're in Paris??" I asked Rome excitedly as we both got in the car.
"Surprise." He smiled before kissing my cheek. I leaned over, hugged him tightly and started to kiss him before I pulled away.
"Wait a minute." I said while looking at him skeptically. "What'd you do?"
"What do you mean?" Rome asked.
"It seems like these days, every time you do something nice and sweet for me, it's because you did something." I told him.
"Well this time I didn't do anything." He assured me. "This was really random. I just wanted us both to have some more time together and to make some nice memories."
"I can't say this enough but I appreciate you so much." I smiled while resting my head on his shoulder.
"Trust me, you're well appreciated yourself." He said while putting his arm around me. We were in the car for about forty-five more minutes before we pulled up to our hotel. It looked luxurious on the outside so I was pretty sure the inside looked even better. We both got out of the car and walked inside with our luggage. Rome got our room keys before we both headed to the elevator.
"What are we gonna do out here?" I asked him as we got on the elevator.
"I had a few things in mind..." Rome replied. He was being so secretive and I didn't know if I liked that or not. I followed him to the room and walked in behind him.
"Wow this is cute." I smiled while looking around.
"Figured you'd like it." Rome said while setting our suitcases down. "It's a suite. 2 bedrooms."
