We drove to a really nice place, I forgot what it was called though.
I noticed Marcus and Martinus with Emma and three other adults, sitting at a long and narrow table. My family walked over towards them and that's when Martinus saw me.
"Hi Y/N! I guess we're having dinner together," he said.
I was a little nervous, but I didn't really know why. I sat down beside him and tried to make small talk.
I said shyly, "yeah. Is that your sister?" I asked looking at an older women sitting beside Martinus' dad, across the other side from where we were seated.
Martinus' turned to where I was looking and said, "oh yeah, that's Silje. She doesn't live with us anymore though."
"Well she's very pretty," I replied.
Martinus looked down and fiddled with his fingers. Two minutes later he looked back up and said, "you're very beautiful."
I blushed, now I knew why I was nervous.
"Thank you, you're too." What just popped out of my mouth?!
"Um... I mean you're very handsome," I said trying not to lose my cool.
He smiled and giggled. "Thanks I guess."
I immediately flipped open my menu before I could say anything else.
The waiter came by to get our orders. I couldn't believe that I have a crush on Martinus! I mean he is cute and all, but boys have just never been an interest to me, I've always just thought of them as friends.
Just then I noticed Marcus staring at me, please tell me he didn't like me, a brother feud for one girl is not what they need. Besides I didn't like Marcus that way. Ugh why does life do these things!
On the other hand, my parents were getting along so well with Martinus' parents. Silje and Reese seemed to have a lot in common, being the oldest sibling is what I mean. Although I noticed that Silje was giving Reese advice on being a great sister, maybe I'll see some change around my house.
Emma was having a great time with Jack, they were blowing bubbles through the straws in their chocolate milk. Lucas was trying his best to be noticed by someone.
Marcus looked over and saw that Lucas was lonely, so he tried to cheer him up by sticking some toothpicks in his mouth to look like a walrus.
Lucas then copied but accidentally poked his gums making them bleed a little.
After we ate, the parents chatted for a while and Silje decided to drive us kids back to Marcus and Martinus' house.
We arrived and Emma, Jack and Lucas raced each other around the house. Martinus showed me around and Marcus played Fifa.
Martinus and I were in the backyard. He gave me a flashlight to hold and he held his own. I saw the soccer posts and a ball beside them.
Martinus then asked me, "Do you play football?"
"You mean soccer, right?" I said.
He explained to me what football was in Norway. "You may know it as soccer, but here we called it football."
"Oh, well either way I don't play the game." I said, hoping he would teach me.
"Here, I'll give you the ball and show you what to do."
Martinus put the ball down on the grass and showed me an easy way to pass it.
Since I was in a dress, I didn't expect to kick the ball too well.
"Okay," he said, "pass it to me."
I kicked the ball as hard as I could, it then shot up and diagonal, then landed right in the net.
"Nice shot!" He ran over to the net and kicked the ball back to me.
After ten minutes we went inside.
"Hey Martinus, do you want to go over to my house?"
He smiled. "Ya sure Y/N, let's go!"
We walked across the rode to my front door and when we got there, I unlocked the door.
