Martinus, Emma and I crossed the street to my house and I opened the door to see my family sitting in the kitchen. Jack sprung up to say hi to Emma, then he told her to sit in the chair beside him, which was Lucas' chair. The poor six year old had tears in his eyes after that.
I told him he could sit to the left of me because I said that Martinus could sit to the right of me.
My mom put the food all around the table and said, "dig in!"
We all sprung for the food. Having a big family can be fun and all but when it comes to food, WWIII strikes. Food can fly everywhere and we all fight for a piece of bread for the longest time, until there's only that one piece.
When Martinus and I finished, I took our plates and put them in the dishwasher.
"Um... Y/N?" He said looking a little unsure about something, "Do you mind if we go to the docks?"
I was I little confused about why he would want to go to the docks, but I nodded positively and said, "no it's okay, we can go wherever you want to go!"
I told my mom that we were going out then we walked to the door, put our shoes on and left.
It took a minute or two to get there, but when we arrived Martinus grabbed my hand and lead me to a place near the water.
"I know it's kinda soon to tell you this, but I can't get it off my mind," he said.
"Martinus, you know that you can tell me anything!"
"I just never really knew how though."
"Well now you can't leave without telling me," I said grinning.
"Okay.. So Marcus has been a bit moody whenever you and I are together, and I think it's because he likes you too."
"As well?"
I couldn't believe that a guy just said he liked me! I mean it makes sense because of the way he treats me, but normally when it comes to guys, I never really am noticed by them."
"Well I have a slight crush on you, but I think it's the same for him," Tinus replied.
"So what should we do? Do you want me to talk to him?"
"I guess it couldn't hurt."
We made a plan to get Marcus to talk to me and then we left for our houses.
The next morning I woke up and crept down the stairs, I got myself a bowl of cereal and walked to the front door. When I closed it behind me, I sat down on the bench, hoping for Marcus to come over.
Fifteen minutes passed by, I was done with my cereal, but I was still waiting. I finally saw him walking over to me.
He reached the stairs to my house and asked, "can I sit down?"
I nodded.
"So here's the thing," I started the conversation not knowing what was going to happen.
He interrupted me by saying, "look I like you okay, like really like you!"
I smiled, "you've been a little moody towards Martinus though, he likes me as well."
"I know, but there's just something about you."
"Okay well, let's just say that Martinus asked me to be his girlfriend, he didn't really say that I'm just wondering what you would do."
He looked down, then back up at me. He paused then said, "I'd be really happy for you, but I wouldn't know how to act around you."
"Well maybe we can find you a girlfriend, you're really cute and fun to be around!"
He slightly smiled, "maybe."
"Okay well I gotta go back inside and get ready for the day, don't worry, you'll find someone and if it doesn't work out between Tinus and I, then maybe we can give you and me a try."
He looked a little happier then said, "okay, see you in a little bit." He turned around and walked away.
