Marcus and Martinus

My House

We walked inside and took off our shoes.
"Um Martinus," I said, "do you mind if I just run upstairs and change into more comfy?"
He nodded saying, "uh yeah, should I just stay here?"
"Oh, you can look around, if you want."
"Okay," he said.
I went to my room, closed the door, then my curtains and changed into sports wear. Basically I wore some adidas sweatpants and my school sports jacket.
I opened my door and hopped down the stairs. I saw Martinus looking at some of my family photos.
He looked up at me.
"Is this you?" He asked.
I looked at the photo he was pointing to.
"No that's Reese, we looked a lot alike when we were younger."
I searched for a photo of me and when I found one, I showed Martinus.
"That's me," I said, "and this is both me and Reese, you can see how similar we look."
He replied, "yeah, that's crazy."
"So Y/N, what do you want to do?"
"I don't really know," I said.
Martinus looked around.
"Maybe we could get to know each other," he said.
I replied, "okay! Um... I like to sing and I taught myself to play a couple of instruments."
"Marcus and I love to sing all the time! How many instruments can you play?"
I said, "I don't mean to brag, but I play guitar."
"So much for a couple of instruments," Martinus giggled, "I play piano."
"We should do a duet sometime."
"That'd be so cool!"
There was an awkward silence, then, the worst thing happened.
I saw a familiar car pull up in the driveway. Yep it was my parents. Not only them, Martinus' parents were with them.
"Hey Y/N, do you think we should sneak out back to my house?"
I nodded, "let's go through the backyard."
Martinus was probably thinking the exact same thing as me, it would be kind of awkward having to explain why a boy is over at a girls house for no reason.
So we put on our shoes and sprung to the back door. We waited 'till our parents turned on the lights and walked into the living room, then we could leave without running into them.
We arrived at Martinus' house. Nobody knew we were gone, so I just said I went to my house to change into something more comfy.
Emma, Jack and Lucas wanted to play hide and seek, so we all joined in.
Reese was the seeker. She wanted to make it harder, so we all had a light source and turned off the lights in the house.
We sprung up and down the stairs trying to find the perfect hiding spot.
When everyone was hidden, Reese started to look around.
Lucas, Jack and Emma were found right of the bat because they hid together and were laughing so loud.
Marcus was found in his closet because he accidentally sat on his light making it glow.
Silje was under the kitchen table and was found next, we were all kind of surprised though, it was the most open area and Reese didn't find her until the four others were found.
Martinus and I were the only ones left.
Emma found me behind the couch and Martinus won, he hid in the attic.
We made new rules and that included not hiding in the attic.
After a couple rounds of playing, the Gunnarsen parents came home. Reese and I gathered Jack and Lucas, then we went home. You could say that this was a really fun night.
I changed into my pjs and got ready for bed. When I shut my door and turned off the lights, I got under the covers and drifted off to sleep.
