Memories

It was Thursday morning.
Caitlin was at Star Labs scrolling through her phone. Barry sees her and sits by her.
Caitlin: "Hi?"
Barry: "Are you okay?"
Caitlin: "I'm fine Barry."
Caitlin starts to get up but Barry grabs her hand holding it in his.
Barry: "Cait please don't act so cold towards me."
Caitlin: "Its just hard to look you in the face."
Barry: "You know it doesn't have to be like this."
Caitlin looks down at Barry still holding her hand. She pulls it away with a sigh.
Caitlin: "We shouldn't see eachother for a while."
Barry: "What do you mean by that?"
Caitlin: "I mean we shouldn't be friends. We shouldn't try to talk to eachother unless it's about.. business."
Barry: "Cait we don't have to do that."
Caitlin stands up
Caitlin: "Don't call me Cait..."
Caitlin leaves the room.

Barry began to feel hurt and was thinking to his self 'Why does this have to happen?'. He put his head on the table, and two minutes later Iris sits right beside him.
Iris: "Everything alright? Did u and Caitlin have an argument?"
Barry: "uh yeah you could say that."
Iris: "Mind telling me?"
Barry: "Lets just say that what happened, Caitlin is not herself anymore."
Iris: "Or maybe it's you."
Barry looked up at Iris confused.
Iris: "Oh well for one your hair got darker. Two you have went through puberty. Three, you surprised her by how smart you were now."
Barry: "Really I didn't notice."
Iris: "Barry you don't ever notice anything, that's why boys are so dumb to figure out there feelings."
Barry: "Rude."
Iris: "No it's the truth."
Barry laughs. He glances at her.
Barry: "I miss you Iris."
Iris: "No you don't Barr."
Barry: "My feelings are still there for you. I can't let this go."
Iris: "Barry...when I was 14 I used to have a crush on you. Senior year I still had a crush on you. The first time we actually talked was junior year when you said you liked my backpack... because I was some fan girl who liked the flash a lot. But my feelings fell apart when you started to like Caitlin. I just didn't have feelings and I let it go. I moved on. And just like right now I'm moving on."
Barry: "Iris...-"
Iris: "It was my pleasure to be dating you. But I will never try to date you again."
Iris gets up.
Iris: "Take me to your grandmas real quick Barr."
Barry looks up at her confused but dose as told. He gets up and picks her up, speed runs to his grandmas.
Barry: "Ok. So what are we doing here?"
Iris: "Just wait.."
Iris lifts up his grandmothers carpet rug and finds a key and opens the door. She walks to the basement with Barry following her. She pulls out a box from underneath the bed.
Iris: "I remember when we were friends, my first time being here I found this box from when Caitlin left."
Barry looked at the box. He didn't know what was in there because it had been so long.
Barry: "What is it?"
Iris: "I can't believe you forgot about this box Barry.."
Iris opens it. Barry walks towards it and sees memories... memories from Caitlin. Everything she gave him was in there. He had saw a small box that said '50 things I love about you'. He saw a sweat shirt that said 'Hers', he saw pictures of him and Caitlin, and 2 necklaces. He picked them up.

He remembered buying them. He just never had the chance to give it to her. Barry puts all the stuff back in the box, he puts the top back on and picks it up.
Barry: "Thanks Iris."
Iris: "No problem."
Barry: "Now. Shall we head back?"
Iris: "We shall."
