The Accident II

Caitlin's POV:

I wake up in this place I hadn't recognized. I opened my eyes slowly only to see I was in a hospital. I hate hospitals. A woman that is about my age walks in.

Nurse: "Hello Ms. Snow, how are you feeling?"
Caitlin: "Like crap."
Nurse: "Yes...I can understand that. One thing I can tell you is that the doctors have done everything to keep you alive but it's not possible to keep you alive... I'm so sorry. You only have a couple hours left, if people wanted to visit, they should have done it sooner."

Tears roll from my eyes. Of course I have no visitors. My parents are gone. And now I'm leaving to, to join them.

Caitlin: "Thank you for telling me..."
Nurse: "My pleasure."

The nurse leaves the room.

I cried to myself for about 3 hours. I didn't know when my time was up but I started to feel a lot weaker. I look up at the ceiling thinking. 'Do they know I'm in here. Are they afraid to see me like this. Did they tell Barry or not?'

I then heard a cough and turned to my right. I was happy. I saw Barry. The one person I was in love with, had came.

Caitlin: "Barry...."

Barry's POV:

Barry: "hey Cait how you feeling?"
Caitlin: "Like crap."

I laughed and so did Caitlin but the moment she did she winced in pain.

Barry: "It's all my fault Cait..."
Caitlin: "Barry don't punish your self."
Barry: "Why not Cait? Y-You're dying because of m-me."

A tear went down my face. Caitlin put her hand on my cheek rubbing her thumb against it. I held her hand that was on my cheek as she did.

Caitlin: "You remember the first time you actually met me properly?"
Barry: "Heh uh yeah, you were apologizing for your friends rudeness."

I chuckled and she smiled.

Caitlin: "...Love at first sight."

Tears started dropping down my eyes again.

Caitlin: "Barr it's okay."
Barry: "No it isn't Caitlin. I am hear watching the person I love die. I love you Caitlin, and I would do anything to get a chance to see you again."
Caitlin: "I love you too Barry."

I went over to her and kissed her on the lips. I can't believe that she is leaving. I wish I could make everything right...

2 hours later...

Iris and everyone had came to see her. They took longer to get here because they had to drive. Moments later Caitlin had passed away.

I was now just sitting at the hospital, I was crying my eyes out. This couldn't be happening.

Barry: "I can't believe she's gone..."
Iris: "She's in a better place now."
Barry: "N-no, I can't just leave her, I'm sorry Iris...but I have to go..."
Iris: "Barry what are you going to do."

I turn back to Iris and give her one last stare.

Barry: "I'm going to run."

After that I super speeded away not hearing Iris's last word.

I was running faster than I ever ran before. I didn't want a life without Caitlin in it. I wanted to make everything right again.

I'm going to restart my mistake by going back to Monday.

I jumped back to that day and was in my house. I checked the time and saw that it was 4:00 am.

Barry: "I will make things right Caitlin..."
