Caitlin's POV:

Caitlin: "Mom is dad okay?"
Caitlin's Mom: "Hun... um.. the doctors found out he had lung cancer."

My heart breaks by her words. I didn't want my dad to leave me. He just had to smoke didn't he? He would always smoke whenever family came to party's, or at night.

Everyday I would wonder why. He told me he would stop, but one day when me and my mom were asleep I woke up needing to go to the bathroom. But I saw him outside. I didn't forgive him because he didn't stop.

Caitlin's Mom: "Honey would you like to go see him?"

I nod my head not being able to speak.

My mom and I walk to his hospital room. She opens it for me and says she will be outside so we could talk.

I walk up beside him and see him laying there lifeless.

Caitlin: "Dad?"

He slowly opens his eyes.

Caitlin's Dad: "..Caity."

I smile at his nickname for me.

There was silence for a few seconds till I finally said something.

Caitlin: "Why did you have to leave me so soon? You won't be there for me to see me at prom, my wedding..."

Caitlin's dad: "Cait I'll always be with you."

Caitlin: "No you won't! You're leaving me! Don't deny it dad."

Caitlin Dad: "Caitlin I will be watching over you every day in the clouds. Okay? I love you and I hope you will always remember that."

Caitlin: "I love you too, Dad."

With that me and my dad were now talking about me and school, how my grades were, how people treated me. I told him everything was okay. We talked a lot of how Mom forgot me that one time in a store. We had so much fun remembering things from when I was little.

Caitlin's Mom: "Caitlin it's time to go."

I looked at my dad.

Caitlin: "I'll see you tomorrow, Dad."

Caitlin's dad: "Okay hun get a good night rest, I love you Caity."

Caitlin: "I love you too."

I stood up from my seat and kissed him on his forehead.

With that me and my mom left the hospital.

Caitlin: "Mom in the morning do you think we could go to the store a get dad some flowers?"

Caitlin's Mom: "Of course we can."

Me and my mom got home. I went up to my room and went straight to bed.

My mom and I woke up at 7:00 pm to go to the store and get some flowers. I found these flowers I thought he would really like. (A/n Sorry. I'm not a detailed person so yeah.)

We got to the hospital. My mom walks up to a nurse situated at a desk.

Caitlin's Mom: "Hi we are here to see Hayden Snow."

Nurse: "Are you his wife?"

My mom nods her head.

Nurse: "You may head to his room."
