::Tallia::

They get back in the car, and Issa pulled off. “Hey! I’m Isa” his daughter told me. “Hey, I’m Lia” I said turning around, not knowing if Isa would be able to say my whole name. She was smiling brightly, and I returned the smile. “You’re pretty” she told me. “Thanks, so are you” I told her. “Thank you! Are you daddy’s friend?” “Yes, how did you know?” “Nobody rides in daddy’s car” I’m guessing she means nobody except his family and select friends ride in his car. “Oh really?” I smirked and glanced at Issa. “Yeah, I think daddy li…” she started, but was cut off by Issa. “Are you hungry?” he asked her. “No, Nona gave me red noodles with red sauce” I giggled a little. “Do you mean spaghetti?” he asked again. “Yes!” she exclaimed obviously not understanding why he didn’t understand what she meant. “Ok, do you wanna watch Minnie Mouse?” he questioned, maybe he knew she would’ve brought the question back up. “Yes, pwease” she said. Once we stopped at the red light, he turned around and did something behind me, and a few seconds later I heard theme music, and nothing else from Isa. “So why’d you cut her off?” I smirked in his direction. “I thought you’d probably get tired of talking to her, she can go on all day” he shrugged. “I actually didn’t mind, you’ve met my sister, and if I can deal with her, I’m sure, I can deal with a 3 year old.” “How’d you know she was 3?” “I actually didn’t, that’s like the standard age I use whenever I’m talking about a child with an extensive vocabulary.” “Oh, thought you had been stalking me” he joked. “I didn’t even know you were a rapper until a few hours ago, so how would I know you had a daughter?” “True, you must not listen to the radio?” “I do, but unless something catches my ear, I don’t pay much attention to it…. And I stopped watching 106 & Park shortly after Terrence & Rocsi were hired.” He nodded in understanding and turned the radio up a little more. “Speaking of which, this is one of my songs now” he said, and I tuned in. I’m usually more of an R&B type person, rap has absolutely no meaning these days, so I listen to a lot of old rappers, and a few local rappers. His song was nice, it had a meaning behind it, he might be a rapper that I listen to regularly. “Do I have a new fan???” he inquired hopefully as we pulled up to my apartment building. “Maybe” I smirked before climbing out the car “Thanks for today, bye Isa” I said closing the door, but she was too into the screen in front of her. “It’s pronounce ISSA” he laughed as started walking towards the doors that led to the stairs. His daughter is adorable.

::Issa:

We got home just as the movie Isa was watching was going off. I cut her off from talking to Tallia, because I had a feeling she was gonna assume that I had feelings for Tallia, and then it would’ve been weird and awkward in the car. I honestly do think I’m starting to like Tallia as more than a friend, but I have a daughter and career to focus on, and they’ll always come before anybody I don’t have a close relationship with, especially Isa. “Daddy, do you like Lia?” she asked as we walked into the kitchen. I grabbed her fruit snacks and one of those ‘tummy tickler tots’ juices she loves so much (and it helps that Minnie Mouse’s head is the top). I pulled her into my lap after giving her the snack. “I like her as a friend” I told her as I kissed her forehead. “Do you like her like nana likes papa?” she asked referring to my mom and stepdad. “No, well at least not yet” my child is too smart for her own good. “I like her, she’s nice and pretty” she smiled. I kissed her forehead “That’s good.” “Are we gonna see her again?” “We might” Tallia is such a focused and ‘busy’ person, so I really don’t know. “Ask her” she hopped of my lap going to throw her trash away. “I will little girl, and you need a bath… you stink” I said swooping her up and attacking her face with kisses. She squirmed and giggled and attempted to tell me to stop, but she couldn’t get the word out completely. I put her down once we reached the bathroom. “Daddy stinks!” she stuck her tongue out at me, and ran out the bathroom. I chuckled and shook my head and ran her bath water. When it was finished, I went in her room and made her follow me to the bathroom. She usually plays with her tub toys until she’s ready for me to bathe her, and I usually go in another room until she says she’s ready to get out. After her bath, and my shower, we went to bed, today has been long for me. Isa decided to sleep in here, I wasn’t looking forward to that, she sleeps wild as hell, I woke up one night because she had punched me in my face, and as soon as my eyes opened her knee was in my stomach. Tonight, I put a pillow between us, to give me some type of protection.
