Chapter 5

After that day, there was a new routine, simple, but new.

Sleep, get tied to a tree, and eat. That was all you did for four days. The first and second day, Thorin had to force-feed you, though you finally start to eat normally by the third day, but he watched you, waiting to have to force you to eat. Balin would check up on you every day.

Then the fourth day finally came. Your were forced back onto the road, walking miles on foot. The familiar jerk of the rope that made your wrist hurt was back.

______________ ___ __ _

It's been a few days since you were forced back onto the road, and you knew something was going to happen tonight.

Gandalf had already stormed off after Thorin had refused to keep moving. It was getting close to dark. Fili and Kili walked past you, but you called them back. They looked at each other before walking back to you, they both crouched down in front of you. "You wanted to know your futures, right?"

They both looked at each other and grinned before turning to you and nodding.

"Tonight, you are going to be put in charge of watching the ponies, you're going to lose two of them. Don't lose. Any. Of. Them. Or something bad will happen. OK? Now go." You told them sternly.

They both nodded before walking off to God knows where.

______________ ___ __ _

You knew they had failed to keep all the horses, even with your heads up. Because they both came running back frantically yelling that the trolls caught Bilbo. They all went running off. You knew they would all get out alive, but something... Wasn't right... Something felt wrong.

You started to struggle against the rope, but they held tight. The more you struggled the more painful it got, but you kept trying. You placed your foot on the tree and start pulling as hard as you could.

______________ ___ __ _

"She warned us of this, and it still happened!" Kili said to Fili.

"Who told you this would happen?" Thorin demanded, angry that his nephews knew about this, but didn't tell him.

"The... woman did. She said me and Kili would lose two of the ponies and this would happen." Fili said hesitantly while watching the trolls talk amongst themselves.

Thorin's glare intensified.
Of course it was you, and you didn't tell him this!

But he was snapped out of his angry thoughts when a sudden silence overcame the three Trolls. Then one of them spoke. "Bert, do you smell that?"

The one known Bert took a long sniff of the air through his nose. A deep laugh-like noise came from him. "I know that smell anywhere, that's the smell of man-flesh, a bleeding one at that." He looked around. "It's somewhere around here."

As the trolls bickered. Bilbo was trying to think, who was crazy enough to be wandering around here. But then it came to him. It wasn't a man... It wasn't a man at all. "(Y/n)!" He whispered.

Your tall form came sneaking out from behind the trees. But the first thing that everybody noticed, was all the blood that flowed from your red wrists and onto the grass. It was obvious that you had struggled to get out of the bindings, and you did all of this to yourself... Just rescued them? But why were you helping them?

As they all watched in silence, you sucked in a deep breath and shouted out to the trolls. "Hey! I'm over here, ya Dingle Fucks!"

As they turned to face you, you threw the rock that had been in your hand at one of them. An angry roar came from the one you hit. They all charge at you.

You waited for them to get close enough before rolling under one of the trolls. You were just as shocked as they were, if not more. You were never really that agile... God, you couldn't even dodge a Dodge-ball in PE. Yet here you are dodging Trolls like it was nothing.

It took them a second to process what happened, but they eventually turned around to face you.

Once again they all came at you. You kept dodging hands and feet. The dwarves were cheering you on, some of them shouting your name, while others were just shouting. Then a shout rang out from the group, louder than the others. "Dunk!"

You had no time to see you who had shouted the command, you dunked just in time to see a hand whoosh above your head.

This couldn't go on forever... You needed a weapon.

As your dodged yet another hand, something shiny flashed in the corner of your eye. You took a second to see what it was.

It was the pile of weapons that the dwarves used!

Without waiting, you raced over to the pile and grabbed the first weapon on top. Which just so happened to be a sword... Thorin's sword to be exact.
There was no time to grab a different one. So you charge at one of the trolls, it reached to grab you, but you sliced a few of it's fingers off, a stream of blood poured from his wounds. A scream came from the troll as he held where his fingers once was, trying to contain the blood.

Out of the corner of your eye, you saw one of the trolls sneak behind you as you face another one.

As the troll ran at you from behind, you could hear the frantic yells from the dwarves, trying to warn you of something that you already knew about.

As the first troll finally ran at you, you stood there, pretending to be frozen in fear, but then a grin spread across your face as they got closer. Wait.... Wait for it.... Wai-Now!

You pushed sideways with all your strength, then quickly turned around just time to see the trolls bash heads. As they both fell backwards, you couldn't help but laugh a little.

You have never held a weapon before in your whole life, and yet you can take on three trolls... It made no sense. Yet then again, never have you ever had so much fun.

But, you couldn't help but wonder. Where was Gandalf? He should've been here by now to turn the Trolls to stone! In fact, he was supposed to have shown up when Bilbo was trying to save the company from being eaten.

Where is he?
