Chapter 17

Before I begin this... I want you to know that this is the last chapter of 'Short Affections (Thorin x Reader x Bilbo) Book 1 of 3'
It was fun making this book, and I'm happy that you decided to come aboard with me. And before I get to emotional, I just want you to know that I'm sorry if the characters seemed OOC.
I'll tell you when the next book will start... now you may continue if you stuck around to read this.

__________ ___ __ _

Your head felt like you just got hit with a train and you were seeing stars, but you had to save Thorin, despite his rude ass attitude, you couldn't let him die. It wasn't his time. You on the other hand, didn't mind death, I mean come on, you aren't even supposed to exist here!

You shook your head, trying to rid yourself of the jumbled senses. You shakily tried to stand back up, despite the searing pain in your back and the new found pain in your chest... tried being the keyword.

You watched in shock as Thorin stepped over your fallen form, he stood in between you and the Orc, his sword in ready position.

Azog was having none of this, he let out a battle cry and charged. He hit Thorin again, his Warg grabbing him in it's strong death grip. You could hear his deafening yells of pain. The next thing you knew it, he was flung onto a rock that jolted from the ground.

You staggered up to defend him from the approaching Orc, but a small figure ran past you, beating you to it. He stabbed the Orc repeatedly in the chest.

Looks like Bilbo finally decided to join the party.

You joined Bilbo in front of Thorin's body. As the Warg-Riders started to close in, a sudden battle cry rang out.
The dwarves were attacking the Warg-Riders!

Your shoulders slumped and you let out a sigh of relief.

But it was short lived, for the White Orc had spotted you, and man did he look pissed.

This was suicide and you knew it. You were tied up, no weapon, severely injured, and about to challenge Azog, but hey, if you were to die today, this way is as good as any.

"Come at me Bitch!" You yelled out to him. He yelled something back in Black Speech, but you couldn't understand what he was saying of course.

But before one of you could attack the other, a screech echoed throughout the sky. Everyone looked up, only to see giant eagles circling the cliff.

They swooped down, throwing Wargs and Orcs off the sides.

They grabbed dwarf after dwarf. Until it was just Bilbo and yourself left. You watched as one came for the two of you.

You grabbed Bilbo before he could try to run and let the eagle take you, it dropped you onto the back of another as soon as you where away from the cliff.

You could hear Azog yelling at your retreating form. Probably threats, but you didn't really care at this particular moment. You were far beyond tired and weak from everything that has happened.
You leaned forward, causing Bilbo to hold onto your waist tighter as you laid your head on the eagles feathers, enjoying how soft they felt as you ran a hand through them.

For miles they flew, until finally, the eagles came to a stop at a cliff top. They dropped off the dwarves before flying away.
You slid off your eagle just in time to see Gandalf reviving Thorin.

Thorin let out a small gasp as he opened his eyes, look towards Gandalf with an unreadable look. "The human and halfling?"

"They're alright." Gandalf gave him a reassuring smile. "Bilbo and (Y/n) are here and quite safe... well, except for some minor injuries."
