Valentine's Day special
(Doesn't affect the main story in any way)

Slight sexual content- you have been warned.

It wasn't that long ago that the company had found out that you weren't from middle earth.

They had bombarded you with questions. You know, the usual, like what is it like, what did it look like, and was everyone as tall as you?

You had responded with, that there were people much taller than yourself, and there were ones as small as the dwarves, but they were still human.
You explain to them about technology...or try to at least. In the end Gandalf was the only one who slightly understood what you were talking about, but not by very much.

Then came the question. Is there a special day in your world, like Durin's day?

You had nodded and said there were many, but simply said the main five.

(Sorry to anyone who doesn't celebrate any of these.)

"Well, my favorite one is Halloween, on October 31 you get to dress however you want to, and get free candy for it."

"Candy? What is candy?" Bofur asked, quite confused.

"Well, candy is a sweet food made with sugar or syrup, sometimes both, it's really good." You said, trying to word it correctly. "Bombur, I'm pretty sure you would like it."

You continued to explain holidays to the curious dwarves, then you came down to the last one. "And then there's Valentine's Day. On February 14, well... It's really just for married couples and people trying to show that they could be a good partner to...to a special someone who isn't theirs. So basically it's a day of love and affection. Nothing too exciting or special." You said, most of the dwarves had lost interest and walked away as soon as you began to speak of the day of love.
Well, Bilbo and Thorin stayed until the end.

"(Y/n), how does one in your world try to get their loved ones attention?" Bilbo asked. Do you, it was just a simple curious question, but unknown to you, he was planning something special and day dreaming too.

You shrugged. "Well, there are the simple ways, like do nice things for them, give them flowers, give them a kiss on the cheek, or the lips, compliment them, or you could write a love letter for them. There's a lot of ways to grab the attention of the one you love."

"And what are the other ways?" Thorin asked while raising an eyebrow.

"Well...you know...stuff, pacifically married people kind of stuff." You answered rather awkwardly, not wanting to out right say it.

He simply nodded before walking away, a smirk rising on his lips. Little did you know, he had some evil plans in mind, if only you could have known what lies in store for you. It seems like Bilbo has some competition.

You woke up bright and early, about to pack up, but then realize that everybody was still snoring, fast asleep.

"We are taking a break today, seeing how it is a special day."

You spun around to face Thorin, fumbling your eyebrows together. What was he talking about?

"Today is February 14, Valentine's Day, or so you called it. Now, go back to sleep." He said crossing his arms.

You were not going to argue with sleeping in, so you nodded and clambered back into the still-warm bed. Almost immediately falling back into Lala-land.

Next time you woke, it was to the smell of eggs and herbs. You looked around and seen all the dwarves laughing and talking, but not without shoveling food into their mouths every two seconds.
