Finally off the phone, Sam got to take a look around the room. Unfortunately, this room was another small rectangle with only one path. The only things in the room we're a pressure plate and a rock. of course there was also a row of spikes on the floor, making it impossible to progress to the next area. But there was a sign on the wall that provided a clue! The sign reads; Three out of four rocks recommend you push them.
So, obviously it means Sam has to push the rock on the floor onto the pressure plate. Seems obvious enough! So Sam took their hands onto the rock and began to give it a push. When all of a sudden, a monster flew by and their soul flickered to life!
The monster was a Whimsun. It looked like some kind of giant fly. It was definitely smaller than the Froggit from before. Sam pushed the fight button and swung their stick at the foe, killing it with a single blow. Whimsun's are as weak as dummies apparently.
As the Whimsun turned to dust, gold coins formed from it's ashes and dropped to the ground. Sam also felt a surge of power flow into their soul. Was this the LOVE that flower was talking about? It... felt good.
Sam feels stronger than ever! Maybe the little flower wasn't lying at all. Maybe Sam should kill all the horrible monsters on the Underground. Gaining this amazing ability, and clearing a clear path home. Its two birds with one stone.
Sam's soul went away and the rock landed on the pressure plate. Causing the spikes to dissapear and the path to be open. Sam was free to continue into the next room, so they did.
The next room was a lot bigger than the last one. But, this room seems to have alot of those cracked tiles Sam stepped on a few rooms back. The way out seems to be past all the cracked tiles. It seems impossible.
Sam decided to shrug it off and run through all the tiles. Only to have them dissapear like they did a few rooms ago. What is with this place, why is there so many tricky puzzles! Sam fell down into a room full of leaves. There was a twisty path that had no leaves on them though. That seemed a bit weird.
There was also a sign down here. 'Don't step on the leaves!' It says. Sam decided to stomp extra hard on these leaves anyways. While heading backwards to find some stairs back up. There was indeed, stairs leading back up. But only back to the beginning of this cracked tiles puzzle.
What kind of hint was 'don't step on the leaves'! There are no leaves on top of these cracked tiles anyway! This room was confusing indeed. Minutes passed as Sam ran, fell, and walked back up multiple times. Running into alot more whimsun's.
Until finally they figured it out. The room under the cracked tiles was the layout of the safe tiles! The path that didnt have any leaves below, was the path of tiles that did not break above! So while memorizing the path, Sam ran across the tiles and into the next room.
How much time has passed? Is that goat lady done with her errands? Is she setting traps? Why are there so many puzzles in the ruins anyways! All these traps are clearly getting on Sam's nerves. Suddenly their soul clicked to life again. Another monster attacks!
Sam turns around to see a horde of slimey monsters called Moldsmals! They kinda look like Jello, only they are alive. Sam attempts to run up and hit multiple. Apparently they are restricted from doing any action without pressing a flying button first! I guess everywhere has it's rules. Apparently the Underground runs on buttons and puzzles.
Sam presses the fight button and attacks the middle Moldsmal. But it did not die! Sam's soul was then attached to their body. The entire room turned into a dark battle zone like it has with Flowey the flower! The Moldsmal's sent out a wave of white attacks!
The monsters down here DO kill humans! Sam ran from the onslaught of bullets. Getting grazed a few times. When it was over, they got to press the buttons again. So this was a true FIGHT. A endless circle of attack and be attacked at.
After several minutes, all the Moldsmals where defeated. Sam has grown stronger. The room turns to normal and their soul returns into their body.
The rumors were true! Every human that visits Mt.Ebott probably ended up falling into the Underground. They were all murdered by these monsters. Gripping the stick in their hand, Sam made a small vow. If there are no monsters left down in the ruins, then no more humans will die! So they shall find and encounter all the monsters, until there are none remaining.
Looking around the room, they found the same rock puzzle from a few rooms back. Only this time, there were three rocks and three buttons. Simple enough, Sam pushes a rock onto a button. The spikes blocking the way make a clicking sound. Sam pushes the next rock onto a button. Another clicking sound is made. This third rock however, once Sam touched it it yelled back!
"Whoa there, pardner! Who said you could push me around? HMM? So you're ASKIN' me to move over? Okay, just for you, pumpkin."
The rock moves a little, but does not sit on the button. Sam sighs and tells the rock to move some more.
"HMM? You want me to move some more? Alrighty, how's this?"
The rock then moves the completely wrong direction, and away from the button. Getting a little mad, Sam tells the rock that was the wrong way.
"HMM? That was the wrong direction? Okay, think I got it."
The rock finally moves on top of the button. The spikes lower and the path is cleared. Sam begins to walk past the spikes. Only to have the spikes pop back up again! The rock, moved off the button apparently.
"HMM? You wanted me to STAY there? You're giving me a real workout."
The rock then stays on the button. The spikes go away and Sam moves into the next room. Which, in reality is more like a tiny hallway. The tiny hallway was small. There were only three items in the room. A mouse hole. A table with a piece of cheese on top of it, and one of those shiny save points from before.
Sam quickly uses the shiny save point to recover some health and save. They then look at the cheese on the table. To see if it's edible of course. But apparently, this cheese has been here quite a long time. It has been here so long, it is stuck to the table. How disgusting.
Sam then leaves the nasty cheese and continue towards the next room. The next room was small. There seems to be two exits and no puzzles at all. The only thing in the room was a ghost blocking the pathway. By ghost, I mean there is literally a white strange ghost like monster laying down in the way.
The ghost keeps on saying 'z' out loud repeatedly, pretending to sleep. Do ghosts even need sleep? Probably not, so Sam decided to put their hands on the ghost and attempt to move him out the way with force. Which only causes their soul to flicker as another FIGHT begins.
