Sam walks into the next area to see some sort of weird ice puzzle. Luckily the puzzle seems to be solved already. They slide past the puzzle and through some snowy trees. They run into a small split path.

One way leads right, another leads down. Curiosity gets the best of Sam and they decide to go downwards. When they get down there, they run into Sans standing around!

"Whats up."

Sam ignores Sans and heads left to see what else is down here. They blink for a second as a snowflake falls by their eye, and suddenly Sans is in front of them! How did he get there so fast?

"Say... are you following me?"

Sam ignores Sans and continues to explore. They reach a dead end cliff with a cave. Looking off the cliff is a marvelous underground sight. An entire snowy forest filled with trees, and a little wooden cabin in the middle with smoke coming out of the chimney. How can there be so many trees growing underground?

Sam turns around and heads into the cave. They are instantly surrounded by dark cave walls and ice. At the end of the cave is a door with no handles. The door has the same strange symbol that's been appearing all over the place. The circle with wings. The three triangles, the triangle in the middle is always upside down by the way.

It was a waste of time exploring in here. It only led to a dead end. Sam storms out the cave and heads right. They walk past Sans again and head back upwards to take the right path from earlier.

In this next area, there are many balls of snow laying on the ground. There is also a little dog house here. Going around the poffs of snow on the ground, Sam heads right. Until they run into a huge snow poff in the middle of the path.

A white dog emerges from the snow poff. Small at first, but then it grows larger as an entire heavy armour grows out of the ground. Sams soul appears as a fight starts. Great, another dog battle.

Sam takes a look at the enemy. It is the Greater Dog. It kinda looks like the Lesser Dog, only instead of a sword and shield this dog is holding a huge spear or lance. It is also wearing a lot of armour.

Sam attacks the Greater Dog. But they barely do damage to the massive foe. They are soon pulled to the battle zone.  A white dog attack appears again, only this time it is sleeping. A sleeping attack?

Suddenly, the sleeping dog barks and shock waves fill the area! Sam barely has time to Dodge, and they get hit by the attack. Surprise attack huh. Smooth move Greater Dog. The battle continues this way until Sam finally kills the Greater Dog.

With low health, the battle ends. These dogs are no joke, they can really pack a punch. Sam quickly turns around and runs towards the last save point to heal. They need the energy to escape the Underground after all. But on the way back they run into another monster.

A battle begins as a small monster with a big hat made of ice walks up to Sam. It is called an Icecap. Is that supposed to be a joke? Because it's wearing a cap made of ice. Ha Ha very funny. Sam punches the Icecap and it dies in one hit. Lucky. If it fought back Sam doesn't know if they would of survived with the health they currently have.

Sam reaches the save point and heals. Noticing the red text now says: 13 left. It lowered again! But the only thing Sam did was kill a monster! Sam gasps in realization.

The red text shows how many monsters are left in the area! Sam has to kill all the monsters! Ignoring the path to Snowdin Town, Sam goes backwards to hunt down more monsters to turn the number to zero.

They eventually reach the cross road with the box and the save point again. The perfect place to sit and kill Monsters. With a save point nearby, Sam will always be healed! The box nearby can... well it can't really do much but at least its here.

It takes about an hour, but Sam slays all of the monsters in the area. It was hard at first. But as their  LV increased it got a lot easier. They are currently 8 times stronger than they were when they first fell.

Sam walks back on the path to Snowdin. Passing the frozen spaghetti, they save. The red text is gone, and instead it is replaced with one word. Determination.

No free wishes, no ticket out of the Underground. But, there is a odd feeling. It feels good. Sam does not know what to call this feeling. It must be LOVE.

Eventually Sam reaches where they left off. At a long wooden bridge above a massive snowy forest. Snowdin Town seems to be on the other side of the bridge. So they start to cross it.

They are stopped, however. Sans and Papyrus are blocking the exit to the bridge. It must be another one of those puzzles. Or whatever a jape is.

"HUMAN! THIS IS YOUR FINAL AND MOST DANGEROUS CHALLENGE! BEHOLD, THE GAUNTLET OF DEADLY TERROR!"

At that moment, a bunch of scary looking traps surrounded the bridge. There was a chained spikey wrecking ball! A massive sharp spear! A white dog hanging on a rope! Okay, maybe the dog isn't as scary, but you get what's going on here I assume.

"WHEN I SAY THE WORD, IT WILL FULLY ACTIVATE!!! CANNONS WILL FIRE! SPIKES WILL SWING! BLADES WILL SLICE! EACH PART WILL SWING VIOLENTLY UP AND DOWN! ONLY THE TINIEST CHANCE OF VICTORY WILL REMAIN!!! ARE YOU READY? BECAUSE. I. AM. ABOUT. TO DO IT!!!"

Sam braced themselves. This looked like a puzzle that is unavoidable. Everything was quiet, everyone is waiting on Papyrus. Sans spoke up to break the silence.

"Well? Whats the holdup?"

"HOLDUP!? WHAT HOLDUP? I'M ABOUT TO ACTIVATE IT... NOW!"

There was another moment of silence as nothing is happening. The trap stayed inactivated it seems. Does Papyrus even know what he's doing?

"That, uh, doesn't look very activated."

"WELL... THEY'RE PROBABLY GOING TO WALK THROUGH IT. IT WONT BE ANY FUN AT ALL."

"Hmm, so this human thing was a bust huh?"

"WELL. I MEAN. I'M EXCITED TO CAPTURE THEM. SO ILL BECOME A FAMOUS ROYAL GUARDSMAN!!! BUT ALL THE TIME I PUT INTO THESE PUZZLES... ITS KIND OF LIKE THROWING A BIRTHDAY PARTY..."

"Without traps and fire?"

"EXACTLY! ITS POINTLESS! MAYBE YOU WERE RIGHT TO BE LAZY ABOUT PUZZLES."

"Me? Right about something? Really?"

"YEAH, WHAT AM I SAYING! YOU'RE STILL COMPLETELY WRONG! I JUST HAVE THE WRONG AUDIENCE! THINK ABOUT HOW MUCH FUN UNDYNE WOULD HAVE HERE! FLAMES, VIOLENCE. IT'S RIGHT UP HER ALLEY! SO I WONT WASTE THIS PUZZLE ON YOU. I JUST HAVE TO APPRECIATE...  THE FRIEND I ALREADY HAVE!"

The traps slowly dissapear to... wherever it was they came from. It seems there won't be any puzzle solving after all. What a relief!

"PHEW! A VALUABLE LIFE LESSON! NYEH HEH HEH!!!" Papyrus runs off into Snowdin Town.

Sam steps off the bridge and sees Sans standing around. Sans speaks to Sam before they enter Snowdin Town.

"Hmm, guess we didn't need your help to have a good time after all."

Sans closes his eyes for a moment. He seems deep in thought, like he knows something Sam doesn't. He probably does, after all he's been down here way longer than Sam has.

"Say, I've been thinking. Seems like you're gonna fight my brother pretty soon. Here's some friendly advice. If you keep going the way you are now..."

Sans then opens his eyes. They are pitch black, no pupils in sight. A strong dark aura radiates from him as he speaks these final words.

"You're gonna have a bad time."

Sam blinks once, and Sans is gone. Poof. Vanished into thin air. Did he jump off the bridge? Did he teleport somehow? It is truly a mystery.

Sam is left with many questions. Who is this Undyne person, and why is fire and traps up her alley? What did Sans mean when he said those words? Sam strolls into Snowdin Town with these questions burning in their mind.
