Chapter#30 - Pay back

Lana's P.O.V

I got up early and left the hospital wing, I only need to stay one night anyway. I was walking past Dany's bed when I noticed something - there was a note, and I knew I didn't leave it for her.  I walked over to Dany bedside and picked it up. 

Hey Dany 

this is not working out 

Cedric 

I teared up the note in my hand, the paper fell to the ground I looked up at Dany, she looked so lifeless
"how dare he do that to you"  I said and then marched off.  

The halls of Hogwarts were already so busy, I seemed to be going the one way nobody else was, how hard was to get to the Hufflepuff common room.  I had my back against the wall, I sighed and tried to walk forward - it didn't really work I just got pushed back.  I was on the ground, a part of me felt like crying, but then I heard a voice, I looked up to see Niall and his crooked smile 

"need a hand" he said offering me his, I took it with a smile. 
"it's crowded in here isn't it" he said pulling me to the side of the hallway 
"kinda" I said with a small laugh 
"yea so where you heading?" Niall asked 
"to the Hufflepuff common room" I said with a sigh. 
"why are you heading to the Hufflepuff common room?" Niall asked 
"I need to speak to someone" I said trying not to yell at Niall 
"someone who, I might be able to help" Niall said 
"Cedric Diggory" I said with a sigh 
"wait...your sister's boyfriend, why do you want to talk to him?" Niall asked 
"Look I don't want to get into this with you, I want find him and yell at him" I hissed at Niall 
"oh okay" Niall said looking at the ground - that's when I started to feel bad, I put my hand on Niall's shouder 
"Look I'm sorry Niall, I didn't mean to snap like that...it's just this place makes me feel so lost when I thought it would make me find myself, I don't understand how things work here, my friends are against Mary and Dany, and I just don't know what to do" I said finding myself sliding down into a ball on the ground.  Then I felt a hand on my shoulder.  
"hey come on then let's go find Cedric and kick his ass" Niall said to me helping me up for the second time.  
"yeah let's go" I said with a smile.  

We were almost at the Hufflepuff common room - when we actually ran into Cedric 
"hey sorry guys" he said 
"your about to be very sorry" I snapped 
"hey what did I do blue hair" he said 
"you know what you did - I saw the note" I said 
"oh yeah" he said nodding his head like it was okay 
"what the hell dude!" I hissed at him 
"what she's not avaible anymore" he said 
"no really because she's bloody petrified" I snapped at him 
"oh well, she'll find out when she wakes up then" he said, he was about to walk off when Niall stopped him 
"if you have a problem with her then you have a problem with me" I said stepping in front of Cedric, and if they did get in a fight Niall didn't really stand a chance - he was so much smaller than Cedric but Cedric was a fourth year. 
"what are you going to do blondey" Cedric said throwing his books aside, and then punching Niall in the face, Niall fell to the ground and Cedric ran off.  I went to Niall,  he had sat up on the ground and had a crooked smile on his face. 

"you idiot" I said giving him a hand up 
"I'm an idiot for you" he said kissing me on my cheek and then he started walking away.  I was in shock for a moment, and then I ran to catch up with him. 
"do you want to go to the hospital wing" I asked, 
"ahh that might be best" he said putting his arm around me

When we arrived at the Hospital wing the nurse glared at me,
"why am I always finding you here Miss Una" she asked - but she didn't seem to care about the answer because then she was off putting ice on Niall's black eye.  
"off you go now - your teacher will be cross if your late for class" another nurse said, I nodded and then starting walking off into the crowd halls of Hogwarts.  

I walked into potions, Snape looked at me and then continued on with the class, he didn't seem to care that I had come in late.  I sat down next to my friend Ava, I was still surprised that I was still calling her my friend.  But right now it was better than having no friends at all.  But there was only one problem - she didn't talk to me all class she just looked ahead listening to whatever Snape was saying.  I sighed quietly and opened up my potions book, flipping through the pages.  Then I felt someone's eyes watching me, without moving my head I looked to the left Ava was glaring at me. 

"cause that's not weird" I whispered
"I'm surprised that you had the nerve to sit here Lana" she hissed back at me 
I said nothing just bit my lip and shut up.  
"oh now bluey's got nothing to say" she whispered to me
I still said nothing, I just looked down at my book trying to stop the tears from falling down my cheeks.  
"what you gonna cry now?" Ava said 
I didn't say anything - I balled my hand into a fist under the desk wanting nothing but to punch Ava in the face right now.  
"whatever" Ava laughed and looked back to the front of the class "you know what maybe people are right you are a weirdo" 

Some how I got through that class and through the next one, all of them right until the end of the day.  I didn't go to the great hall, I felt my feet taking me to the Hospital wing.  I sat with Dany, I talked to her even though she couldn't hear me, I told about Ava and my other friends I felt the hot tears fall down my cheeks. 

"Promise me that you will wake up" I said
"Lana?" I heard a familiar voice - I knew it wasn't Voldemort's, I turned and saw Niall. "Are you okay?" he asked. 
I frown and then ran into his arms, I felt his arms slowly come around my back 
"it's going to be okay, she'll wake up...I promise you" he said holding me tightly

I blink away the tears and then noticed something...or more like someone, there was another bed in the hospital wing, the bed was the one I was in last night.  I broke the hug with Niall and walked over.  When I got to the end of the bed I gasped. 
"what is it?" Niall asked running to my side 
"It's Hermione" I said almost confused
