I grasped the book in my hand as I opened it before flipping through the pages blankly, my eyes gazing behind me occasionally.

"Sora?"

"Don't worry, I'm coming"
He smiled as he took a seat next to me on the porch. "So tell me where do you want us to start?"

My eyes flicked up to his face and then to my notebook before I let out a sigh.

"I don't know"

"That's okay"

"Can you um, really help me?" I asked nervously while rubbing my hands together. I had asked Sora to help me practice for my math finals but as much as I knew he was willing to help me I couldn't help feeling that I was asking too much of him.

"So, where do you have trouble?" I handed my notebook to him and watched as he examined my previous work meticulously and made pointers. "You're really not bad, you've just messed up at-"

"I can't do it" I breathed in sharply before tearing  myself away from his gaze disappointedly. "It's hard to focus when finals are coming up in a week. There's no way I can learn all this in that time"

I expected Sora to react disapprovingly but the warm and sweet smile he gave me grasped my attention.

"You'll learn"

"How?"

"I'm not great at math myself" he laughed. "But I'll do everything in my power to help you pass"

"Sora" I mumbled as I stared at my book. "There still isn't any guarantee. If I fail, I can't get the grades I want to go to the college that I've been dreaming about"

Sora remained quiet as he watched me fumble around with my hands, his eyes visibly unsure of what else to say.

"Okay"

"Okay!" I gaped looking at him incredulously."I can't afford to fail! If I do, what do you expect me to do for the rest of my life?"

"I wasn't saying that I want you to fail" he breathed amused. "I think we should -"

"If I fail" I continued. "What will I do? I'm definitely not attractive enough to-"

"What?" Sora remarked as he stared at me wide eyed. "Fumiko, never say anything like that" the subtleness yet shock in his voice surprised me.

"I-"

"You are attractive"

"You think I'm-"

"You have beautiful dark hair and pretty Brown eyes and um, your very sweet and a really good person."

"Sora-"

"You're the kindest and most amazing person I've ever met and I think you're beautiful" He concluded warmly.

My heart fluttered as I turned away from him immediately because I could feel the blood rushing to my face and heating body as my heart desperately tried to slow it's own pace.

You are attractive

I turned back to Sora without meeting his eyes before I slowly felt his hand brush over my own, igniting my skin.

"I think you're very beautiful"

I stiffened and refused to look at him but I knew if he could see it, I was blushing red.

I think your very beautiful

I had to wonder though if he knew the weight of the words he had said. I had to know if he knew how much they trembled my heart and captured my soul. I wanted to know if, his eyes had really seen me, amongst all others as beautiful.
