I smiled gently as I stared at Sora, his gaze locked towards the sky. He looked so cute and sweet as his eyes radiated with warm innocence.
"Sora, what are you looking at?" I asked out of curiosity.
"The sky, that is how I got my name after all" he said warmly, a spark growing in his eyes.
"What do you mean?"
"I was told the reason I was named Sora was because I always had my head towards the sky - always ready to take on whatever challenge there was that came with the day, well that is how I think it goes."
"Wow, I guess that means you got your name because of how strong and confident you are!"
"Maybe" he said sighing cutely and looking back at the sky.
I couldn't help finding his modesty adorable as I leaned on him and smiled brightly but soon as our eyes met I saw a strange look pass over him before he averted his gaze.
"Fumiko, let's go back now" he said with a hint of a smile before pulling me back from the cliff while still holding me in his arms.
"Okay" I sighed as he released his grasp on me.
Secretly I wished that he would wrap his arms around me again, even if it was for a minute but all he did was take my hand until we were at his house again.
"Sora, it was nice getting to spend time with you today" I said smiling at him while trying to hide my reddened cheeks.
"Yes, it was nice spending time together" He said smiling also before making a sigh."Well, I guess you've got to go now, so-"
"What are you talking about? I only just got here and It's still early!"
"I know that, but -"
"Then why do you want me to leave?!"
"Fumiko you were hurt really badly yesterday so you need to go home and rest." He said a little sternly unlike before.
"Oh no! Not you too!"
"What?"
"It's um... nothing" I mumbled as I turned away from him. "I- I don't want to leave yet."
"Fumiko -"
"Can't I stay here with you a little longer?"
Silence filled the air between us as I watched his eyes soften from my plea, hesitation seemingly grasping him for a moment.
"Okay, I guess you could stay for a while" He said finally, "But you'll have to stay here because I don't want you to over exert yourself and fall unconscious again."
"Um, Okay...but if I just sit here, what are you going to do besides tricking me by saying you have work."
I couldn't help feeling a little puzzled as Sora walked over to his porch and gave me a sudden bright smile.
"I didn't trick you" he said smiling brightly. "I really have work to do. It's harvesting time and I've already started reaping"
"What! Why didn't you say anything!" I asked gleaming excitedly.
"Well, because I only just started this morning" he said laughing and rubbing the back of his head, a gentle innocence playing on his face.
"Really? Then how many crops have you harvested so far?"
"See for yourself"
As I followed the hand he had pointed towards the porch, I was surprised to see a number of bags and crates filled with produce sitting there which I hadn't noticed before.
