"I'm sorry about leaving you like that yesterday." I said to Sora, my heart feeling like it was going a thousand paces per minute. "I didn't mean to, it's just that..." I started fumbling with my hands nervously because It was hard for me to apologize to him because I didn't know what to say.

What if he was upset with me or better yet disappointed?

It wasn't impossible because I didn't explain to him why I had to leave so suddenly and I didn't even give him the chance to say goodbye.

"I um.." My head hung when his gaze pierced me, my heart drumming loudly because of how afraid I felt to look at him.

Sora had never so much as even spoken harshly to me but I was still fearful.

Lifting my head to meet his gaze, I froze when I realized that my blouse button had come undone. I was sure horror painted my face when I gasped and frantically tried to fix it, my face flushing when I wondered if Sora had noticed.

When I turned back to him, my face blazing with different shades of embarrassment, I expected him to be covering his eyes and smiling but he wasn't. His face was drawn into an expression I couldn't read and his eyes were clouded.

What's wrong with him?

I had to wonder.

He's so calm and innocent so maybe he didn't notice...Unlike me, who panicked when I saw him without his shirt.

"Sora I'm-"

"Fumiko" he said suddenly cutting me off.

I took a step back from him, surprised by the heaviness in his voice and breathing.

"Sora are you okay?"

He averted his eyes and took a step back from me, clearly not wanting to answer my question.

I approached him again but he took another step back, this one further than the last.

"Sora" I repeated, fear  gripping me from the small distance between us that felt much too far.

"I'm not upset" he blankly said.

"What?"

"You were hurt so you had to leave. I'm not upset."

"Oh, I thought..."

He didn't look at me when he spoke next. "Don't worry, I'm...okay"

I placed a hand on my hip and stared at him confused, curiosity suddenly hanging around me."you're okay?"

He hesitated before giving me a nervous smile and pulling away again. " It's nothing"

Amusement replaced the tension in the air in mere seconds as I watched Sora's face flush red every time I tried approaching him, his movements more jittery than before.

"Come on, what is it!" I argued, practically chasing him while he frantically dodged me.

"Fumiko stop!" He cried, making a run for it.

"No!" I continued, while chasing after him.

Sora made a frantic run towards his fields and I followed after him, laughing at his glowing red face.

"Fumiko Please!"

"Never!" I cried when I caught him.

All the laughter around us faded when I held onto him.

He felt different.

His body was warm with a heat I hadn't felt him burning with before.

It was strange but I was drawn to it.
