Maling Akala

As I drove away from spirals, I could still see Aileen from my rear view mirror. "Sorry talaga" I whispered. I focused on the road ahead. After a few minutes I picked up my cellphone and dialed Manong's number again, hoping he would pick up... pero wala pa rin. "Nasaan naba kayo Holly?" tanong ko sa sarili ko. I was going to redial his number when my phone rang. Russel's name flashed across the screen so I quickly answered it.
Ako: Hello, Russ... nakita mo na ba ate mo?
Russ: Kuya Mau, nawawala si ate... (frantic)
Ako: Huh? What do you mean.. nawawala si Holly? (my tone an octave higher)
Russ: Na contact na ni Papa si Manong, actually papunta na kami ni Papa sa ospital.
Ako: Ospital... ano?? teka bakit?? Napano ang kapatid mo?
Russ: Hindi ko rin alam eh... basta mag kita na lang tayo sa Makati Medical Center, papunta na kami doon.
Ako: Sige... pupunta na ako. (I said sharply, before ending the call)

I tried to focus on the road, I couldn't help but think of Holly. "Ano ba nangyari? Nasaan ka ba Holly?" I whispered. Driving quickly to the hospital. After what felt like forever, I finally arrived... parked and quickly made my way inside. I took my phone out of my pocket and dialed Russel's number. After the first ring he answered. "Hello, Russ..... nasaan na kayo? "Kuya Mau, nandito kami ngayon sa Emergency Room, hinihintay pa namin matapos yung Doctor icheck si manong. Puntahan mo na lang kami dito. nasa waiting area kami ngayon" he said "Sige, punta na ako dyan" sabi ko before ending the call. I rushed to the fronted desk and asked where the emergency area was located. (My phone kept ringing, Aileen's name flashed on the screen. I just clicked on ignore) After a few minutes the hospital rep gave me directions and I quickly made my way over the ER waiting area.

I met yup with Tito and Russ. "Hi po Tito... Russ" making my way over to them. "May balita na po ba kay Holly?" I asked as I stood next to Russ. "Wala pa rin ihjo" sagot ni Tito (worried look on his face). "Si Tita?" I asked, looking around. "Naku Kuya Mau, hindi na namin pinasama si Mom, nasa bahay sya kasama nila Tita Karla" sagot ni Russ. "Ano ba ang nangyari?" tanong ko "Ew...." (mag sasalita palang sana si Russ nung lumapit saamin yong nurse. "Kayo po ba ang kasama ni Thomas Deleon" she asked. "Kami nga" Tito answered "Pwede nyo na po syang puntahan sa kwarto" she added. "Salamat" Tito replied as we all followed her to the room where Manong was located.  After we entered the room, the nurse checked on a few things before leaving the room, shutting the door behind her.
Tito: Thomas... kamusta ka na? Ano bang nangyari.... nasaan si Holly?
Thomas: Ok na ho Sir. Kailangan lang daw mag stay over night dito para makasiguro na walang problema
Tito: Ganong ba... (as he pulled a chair close to the bed and sat down)
Russ: Manong.... ano bang nangyari sa inyo? Nasaan si Ate?
Thomas: Sir, hindi ko ho maalala masyado... pa alis na kami ni ma'am Holly nang bigla na lang may tumama sa ulo ko at nawalang na ako nang malay. Nang tinulungan ako nang guard... wala na po si ma'am Holly.
Mau: Ano?
Thomas: Sir... sabi nang mga nakakita saamin.. may tatlong tao daw ang umalis, kasama si Ma'am.
Russ: Pa... paano na? anong gagawin natin? Baka kung napano na si Ate?
Tito: Russel.. don't think like that (his face full of concern, as he took his phone out to make a call)
Thomas: Sir, na report na rin po namin sa Police. Pati yong mga nakakita kinausap na rin nila. (As soon as he said that, there was a knock on the door).
Tito: Pasok (2 Police men walked in the room)
Police: Good evening, kayo po ba si Mr. Alcantara?
Tito: Yes, ako nga. (pausing as he stood up to greet them) May balita na ba kayo sa anak ko?
Police: Sir we are doing everything we can to find your daughter. Nakausap na rin namin yung mga naka witness sa nangyari. Sabi nila may tatlong lalaki daw silang nakita na kumuha sa anak nyo at nakasakay sa asul na kotse.

After an hour of talking to the Police, we bid Manong a good night and left the hospital. It was late when we arrived at the Alcantara residence. Pag pasok namin sa loob nakita namin si Tita kasama sila Tita Karla, DJ at Kath. "Tito, anong balita?" DJ asked as he got up and walked over to us. "Ted, saan na si Holly" Tita Jean asked (tears filled her eyes). Ted... saan ang anak natin?" she asked again, as she broke down in tears. Tito Ted walked over to her and hugged her tightly. Russ went over to his parents and hugged his mom. "Mom... don't cry.. please! Mahahanap rin nila si Ate" he said trying to comfort her. (As he looked up at me and DJ).
