Unexpected Encounter

We entered the mall and just started to walk around. "Wow, ang laki nang pinag bago nitong mall" I said, as I continued to look around and admired the beautiful Christmas Decors. I suddenly noticed a sign by the directory. "Benedicto World Corp." I read out loud. (stopping suddenly at my tracks, as the thought of Mau entered my mind). "Ate... ano ka ba, nasabi ko na sayo yan nung last na nag face-gram tayo. Diba nga family ni Kuya Mau ang owners nang malalaking malls at businesses dito sa Pinas" he replied (scratching his head) I turned to him "Anong Kuya.... hindi mo sya kuya" I said. "Okay, okay... napaka defensive mo naman. Sorry na po. Pwede mamaya ka na magalit saakin. Remember, malapit na ang pasko, wala pa tayong relago para kay mama at papa" he replied, as he tugged on my arm to move away from the directory. "sige na.. lets go" I answered, glancing back at the board once more before walking away.

We walked around the mall... searching for the perfect gifts. We also went into different stores. I actually didn't mind that, since it gave me a chance to find a gift for him as well. After a few hours of roaming around the mall, we decided to get something to drink at the coffee shoppe we passed 2 stores down. "Lika, balik muna tayo doon" I said, pointing at the coffee shoppe. As we entered, I couldn't help but smile... "This seems like a nice place" (I just love the smell of coffee and sweets) I pointed at an empty table where we could sit. As I was about to sit down, Russel's phone rang. "Wait lang Ate" he said, pointing at his phone. I nodded and sat down. I picked up a magazine that was on the table and started to browse through it. Russ came back... "Ate, balik ako agad. Nandito rin kasi sila Desmond at Karen. Meet ko lang sila sandali" he said. "Sige, balik ka agad ah. Mag order na rin ako nang drinks. Ano gusto mo?" I asked, looking up at him "Kahit ano na lang Ate, basta may kasamang brownie ah" he replied (winking at me) as he walked out of the shoppe. I turned my attention back to the magazine, then picked up the menu and started to look at what I can order while I waited for Russel to return. I was busy reading... when I heard the door chime, but didn't bother to look up to see the people that walked in.
I was about to get up to place my order at the counter when my email alert rang. I placed the menu down and looked to see the message, in case it was something important.

I walked up to the counter to order my favorite drink before I headed home. I was talking to the server when all of a sudden I turned and saw a familiar face, which caught my attention. *speechless*
