Alison's POV
The excitement on Emily's face when she saw the pool was the cutest thing I'd seen in a long time. While she looked unbelievably sexy in her bathing suit, the sexiest thing about her was her in her element. She really became my mermaid again right before my eyes.
Not knowing how long she'd be in the water, I decided to get set up in the pool chair so I could get some sun. Out of the corner of my eye, I saw Emily get out of the water. I decided this would be time to put on an "innocent" little show. I purposely wore enough clothes so she couldn't initially see which bathing suit I chose. I chose the leopard printed one because that was her favorite. She could never keep her hands off of me and always told me it turned her on like crazy. So pretending I didn't notice, I "mindlessly" began stripping off my clothes down to my swim suit. I added in a little hair flip and a boob adjustment just to sweeten the show. I could tell it was working because her eyes widened and she was unknowingly biting her bottom lip.
"Did you enjoy the quick dip Emily" I said questioningly. "Oh. Yea. It was great. Water felt amazing" she replied as quickly stopped checking me out and tried to act casual. We spent the rest of the day laying out, talking, napping, and I even joined Emily in the pool for a little bit. I hadn't had this much fun in what felt like forever. Things were so simple and easy. It was just the two of us. Just like it's always meant to be.
Later that night, we had dinner at Spencer's barn with Aria and Hanna. We talked, laughed, and drank far too much wine. This really felt like the good ole days. But the elephant was still in the room. Emily still didn't really remember us. She expressed that she could absolutely tell that she felt comfortable around all of us and truly believed that we loved her. There was still that missing piece though that still hadn't connected us all back together. I could tell we all desperately wanted Emily to regain her memories so we could be a full family again. It was getting pretty late when I suggested Emily and I should head home so she could get some rest. Emily excused herself to the bathroom and the girls quickly rushed over to me. "So have you told her yet?" asked Hanna. "If you haven't, I think she's ready to hear it" added Spencer. "It's should really come from you Ali" furthered Aria. "No guys I haven't told her anything about us or how she ended up in the hospital. I've just been trying to take things slowly and let her come to me if she wants to know something. But I can honestly feel her getting closer with me. It's like she's unknowingly fighting her way back to me. You think I should tell her tonight?" I asked. "Yes!" They all said loudly. "And text us afterwards to let us know how it went" whispered Aria. Moments later, Emily came out of the bathroom and we said our goodbyes. I drove us home. Before we got home, I had to stop for gas. Emily offered to fill it up so I took this opportunity to text the girls and have them help me with a surprise for Emily. Once inside the apartment, we sat on the couch for a bit and watched some TV. Spencer texted me to tell me they were all set up so I asked Emily of she wanted to go on a walk with me. She agreed with a big smiled on her face. It was late and the town was absolutely silent. It was almost like we were the only ones for miles around. We kind of just walked silently for a little while I led her to our place. Our place. It's brought us some pain and heartache, but so much love at the same time. A love that can't be ignored or overpowered by negativity. Once at the treeline of the forest at the back of the park, Emily stopped immediately in her tracks. "What's wrong Emily?" I asked not quite knowing what was wrong. "I, um... it's just so dark" she said wringing her hands nervously. "It's okay Emily. I have a bit of a surprise for you. It's not far from here. I promise" I said with a comforting smile and an outstretched hand. She took a deep breath and held my hand. We walked hand in hand for a bit until you could see about a hundred yards from us what the girls had set up. " What's all this? This is beautiful" she exclaimed as we arrived at the spot. "This is for you" I said as I twirled around appreciating the romantic setting they created for us. There were at least a hundred candles, all shapes and sizes all around us. Flowers too. From the trees hung white, glowing lanterns that illuminated the trees and bushes around us. I've gotta say, the girls really came through for me. For us really. This was spectacular. With an audible gasp and a gigantic smile in her face she said, "You did all of this for me? I don't know what to say. This is the most beautiful thing I've ever seen". Sitting down on a massive rock in the middle of it all, I asked Emily to join me. The rock was the perfect size for two people.... two lovers to sit intimately next to one another. I took a deep breath and said, "Emily. I want to tell you something. It's about us and how you ended up in the hopsital".
