Alison's POV

"For the rest of the night, we stayed up talking, laughing, and even crying. Throughout the many hours of conversation, we cleared everything up. We never meant to hurt one another. It was just outside forces acting against us. Emily I can't express to you how relieved I was to hear the truth. When the sun came up, I just couldn't help the way I was feeling. I told you that I had been lying to myself for far too many years. I struggled with my sexuality throughout high school and while you were gone. I tried burying my feelings and desires for you. I tried dating guys to prove to myself that I didn't want you in the way that so desperately did deep in my heart. And in that moment when I finally poured my heart out to you, you looked at me with so much love in your eyes. You wiped away the tears running down my face, brushed my hair behind my ears, and kissed me with such tenderness and passion. It was our first real kiss. We were on the same page for the first time in our relationship. The spark between us in that moment was undeniably electrifying. Every kiss was better than the one before. I felt a part of me come alive in that moment. I was finally at peace with myself and felt genuine happiness for the first time in a long time".

During this time that I was explaining all of this to Emily, she remained very quiet yet focused on every word that came out of my mouth. So I continued on by adding, "So for the next few months, we started seeing each other. I got a job as a teacher and you continued training and working part time jobs. Then my mom passed away from breast cancer and my dad just completely lost his mind with grief. Emily you were the only thing that got me through that dark time in my life. Just being able to come home to you at night and lay my head in your chest meant more to me than you could ever know. Through all the pain though, we were solid. We were happy. Then, your parents passed away in the horrible car wreck and it was my turn to be there for you. Oh course Aria, Hanna, and Spencer were there too, but at the end of the day, it was just you and me". At this point Emily started to cry just thinking about her parent's death. Rubbing her shoulder I said, "Emily I know this is alot. I can stop if you want me to". "No. Please. Finish saying everything you need to say" she replied sniffling.

"Well," I began, "We had been dating for awhile and we were so happy. We were so in love. So approximately 3-4 months ago, I started your day off with a knock on your door from Aria and a note that lead you to the school's front steps where I first saw you the first day of freshman year. Once you arrived there, there was a red rose on the front steps with a note that said, "Find me where we shared our first kiss at school". Once at the library, Hanna was there with a note that said, "Find me where we found each other again" and lead you to my house. That's where Spencer was with a note that said, "Finally, come to the place where I finally told you that I love you".  Looking around, I said to Emily, "So you came here. This is where I first told you that I love you. I waited for you on this rock. When you saw me, you ran to me and jumped into my arms giving me a big kiss. Emily. This is where I got down on one knee and told you I loved you. This is where I said that there was no other woman for me and that I wanted to spend the rest of my life with you. You were my home. You were my heart. My one true love. Now and forever more". Grabbing her hand I said, "Emily this is where I asked you to be my wife". Once hearing this, Emily let out a noise that sounded like all the air was just sucked out of her lungs. "What happened next? Did I say yes? Are we engaged?" She asked frantically. 

Taking a deep breath I said, "Before you could give me an answer, something happened. Out of nowhere, from the surrounding woods, Paige appeared pointing a gun at us. Then Noel Kahn appeared from the woods in the opposite direction with a baseball bat. As if by instinct, you immediately positioned yourself in front of me, shielding me from Paige. You yelled for me to run into the woods and you followed after me. A shot ran out and a bullet went straight through my shoulder. But only the shot wasn't very loud. Paige had a silencer at the end of the gun. We tore through the thick foliage as fast as we could. Paige and Noel were never far behind. Shots continued to be fired our way and the bullets zoomed past us, narrowly missing us each time. Paige's gun jammed and the running behind us stopped. But we kept running for our lives, trying to distance ourselves as much as possible.
