"Yes, we are." Stated Charles who seemed really nervous.

The two police officers still aimed there pistols at us, and the second one asked this time, "Is it a girl?"

I answered this question, "I don't know. Maybe. What is it to you?" I didn't like their expressions.

They watched us carefully, double crossing every word we said, every movement we made.

"That's something I didn't expect. We just though you were here for the girl. What's her name... Rose?" Stated the first one with a smirk.

"Who's Rose?" I stated quickly, glancing over at Charles.

The second man then said, "Oh come on! We know you came to get her, but your not going anywhere. We're trapped because of her."

There's more?

Charles seemed scared, but he let the axe's blade hit the floor, and he leaned against the handle. "What do you mean? You were here?"

The first man replied while the second man left, "The whole time. For two months. Now drop the axe please. I don't want to arrest you."

We glanced at each other, Charles just stared at me.

"You don't realize what's going on? They're not sick. They're dead." I said to the man.

The second man returned with a girl I didn't know, but I assumed that it was Rose because Charles stiffened. Her hands were handcuffed behind her back, and she looked directly at Charles before giving a confusing look at me. I took the knife out of its sheathe, and pointed it at the man.

"Why is she handcuffed?" I asked alarmed.

"How can we get this through to you? You have weapons in a bank. Your under arrest." Stated the first one.

The second officer seemed disgusted at the first, and just yawned to hide it. Rose was standing still, looking at the man next to her, and nodding her head.

What about him? How many others are here?

I took a step forward, and the officer backed up slightly. "Take those handcuffs off. Let us leave, so we aren't a burden to you... how many there is here."

"There's only three of them." Stated Rose before being silenced by a gag.

"Let her go. We only came to get her. We don't care if your here. We are going to leave right after." Said Charles quietly, his voice barely audible.

The cops stood back, and pointed his pistol at us. "Nope. Drop the axe now. I'm giving you a final warn..."

He stopped mid-sentence as I froze up. Another man had came over here with a shotgun in his hands. The barrel was currently resting on the officers shoulder, and the officer turned around.

"What are you doing Jackson?" Stated the officer before his face was blown to smithereens.

I let out a suppressed yelp of fear when his blood splattered Charles and I along with the surrounding wall. I fought the urge to puke as his body slumped to the floor, his head shooting a squirt of blood out before slowly running out in the floor. The other officer took a step back, but met the same fate.

Another shot, and the man was clutching his guts, desperately trying to stop the inevitable. Charles paired immediately, and threw up on the floor while I stood still.

What just happened?

I looked at Rose who was being freed by the mystery man, and I glanced down. The mans blood had pooled on the floor, and my feet stood in it. I stepped back, and looked at Charles who was leaning against the wall. His brown hair that was ruffled seemed dull in comparison to the blood stained walls.
