It has been 8 days since I have talked to Harry in full conversation. It isn't like were avoiding each other, but I have been working all day every day, and by the time I get done I just want to get home and sleep. I haven't even been away for a full month but I feel like it's been a lifetime.

Today Wendy told me I didn't have to come in until 5 tonight so I could help with happy hour. There was a big town dance tomorrow for the beginning of summer, and yeah, I had to work. They had a big outdoor space on the beach that was being set up, the whole town goes every year.

I was sitting down on the couch drinking a tea and doing a puzzle book when there was a loud banging noise at my door.

I got up and I blushed to myself when I looked down at my old shirt and sweats. I blew it off and headed to the door. There was a woman standing there and I opened the door slowly.

"Hello!" She half screamed in my face and I blinked a few times.

"Hello," I echoed and she quickly pulled me into a hug. I awkwardly patted her back as she embraced me.

"Sorry," she said pulling back. "My name is Hallie, I live next door," she said pointing to the left. "I was visiting my parents so I haven't been around. I see Harold finally got to sell. Attractive man for 50, right? God don't even get me started on his nephew Edward," she said blushing.

This girl literally talks a mile a minute. "Edward?" I asked, maybe Harry had a brother.

"Oh yeah! Really curly hair? Tall? AMAZING body?"

"Oh, him," I said and blew off the fact that she called him Edward. She probably knew him better anyways. "He is very helpful."

"Right?!" She said and gave me another cheeky smile. She was a cute girl. She had curly blonde hair and she was a little taller than me. She wore skinny jeans and a tanktop, she was rather muscular as well. "I brought you a few house warming gifts," she said and I smiled. She wasn't so bad.

"Come on in," I said and I led her into the living space.

"This place is so pretty with someone finally living here," she said and I nodded.

"Its a really cute house," I said and she opened the bag she brought.

"Okay girl," she said holding out a bottle of champagne. "You look young, is this okay?"

"I am almost 20," I said and she grinned.

"Well I am 20," she said and we both giggled. "Rebels," she said as she pulled out more things.

Hallie brought over so much I was overwhelmed. I got alcohol, homemade tea, popcorn bags, puzzle books, and even a gift card to get my nails done.

"Thank you so much again," I said and she nodded, smiling.

"Of course! Are you going to the beginning of the summer party?" She asked and I started to feel weird because I wasn't going to be able to mingle with everyone else.

"I have to work," I said and she slumped down.

"Where do you work?" She asked and I told her about my job when I got here.

A big grin stretched across her face and I raised an eyebrow.

"Wendy is my aunt," she said and I felt myself perk up. "I will get you off work," she said and I smiled.

"Thank you so much, really you're great no far," I said and she grabbed my hand and squeezed it.

"Everyone deserves friends, Jill, this is so big deal," she said and I nodded.

This place wasn't bad so far. I was actually starting tot like it.

After work that night, I headed home. I got home really easily and everything went great with the truck and all.

I got out and locked it and I went up to my door to unlock it but it was already unlocked. I head noises and i didn't know what to do.

I stood there trying to see someone from the screen but they wouldn't come into my sight.

People out here are country people. They wouldn't hesitate to shoot my brains out if they had a gun handy, which most did.

I waited a little longer and then I heard someone coming. I slowly crept farther away from the door and when the person came out they had bags full of stuff. I was freaking out but then I recognized the face.

"Hey!" I called out and he flung around.

"Jillian, get into my car," he said, crossing over to where I could see he had his new escape.

"What?" I asked and I followed him. "What the heck are you doing?"

He threw my stuff into the trunk and closed it up.

"Jillian," he said holding open my door for me. "I'll explain, but we have to get out of here," he said and then I heard police car sirens.

He stomped his foot with fear in his eyes. "Right now, dammit."

"Did you get everything?" I said glancing back at the house I came to love.

"Everything," he said and the sirens I now could hear came closer, he ran over to his side and got in. I took a deep breath and I got into the passenger side. He turned his lights off and the police parked 2 houses down. They each headed up to porches, and one started walking towards mine.

Harry cursed under his breath and he carefully ducked down under the wheel, and I curled up under the dashboard. The window was cracked and we could hear him whistling.

Harry was ready for action, that's for sure. After the whistling became distant, I knew he would knock on the door and realize I wasn't there.

Harry started to creep up to his seat and he started the car. Surprisingly the cop kept whistling. Harry had backed in as well, so it was perfect. I heard the cop tap on the door and Harry slammed on the gas pedal. He was flying down the street so fast I wanted to die.

I carefully pulled myself into my seat and put my seatbelt on.

"This is wild," I said and he glanced at me, and then behind us.

"We have to shake them," he said and I looked behind.

"They aren't coming," I said and he shook his head.

"They will be here," he said and I felt my stomach shake.

"What is going on?" I asked and he shook his head.

"Were getting out of here now," he said and I slowly nodded. "We will have plenty of time to talk about it," Harry said and I left it as that.
