The next morning I woke up in my new bed. The mattress was new, along with the bedding so I slept perfectly. This house was excellent.

I got up and headed to the bathroom. I didn't take a shower last night so I figured I should take one now. I closed the door and pulled the screen down.

I undressed myself and I touched the bruises on my shoulder lightly as I looked at them in the mirror. On my left side I could vividly see finger marks, it was a scary reality for me; But it was all gone.

I took a nice hot shower, and I was able to take my sweet time without getting smacked.

I pulled out a towel and I wrapped up. It was a super huge beach towel so it covered my whole entire body no problem.

I headed down the hall back into my room and I pulled out some clean clothes. I knew I needed to go shopping today at some point so I grabbed a pair of socks and underwear along with my favorite sports bra.

The clothes I did have, I got what I liked. Normally I was allowed to get T shirts from school occasions, so my wardrobe had a lot of those. I also liked plaid shirts with tanks under.

I decided on my converse, jean shorts, and a long sleeved shirt that represented Notre Dame University. It was one of the only things I had left from my parents, and it was my moms favorite shirt.

I headed into the kitchen and I grabbed a handful of skittles. With that, I grabbed my house key and my money then I locked both doors.

I began walking down the path where Harry drove me and I kept getting bit by mosquitoes. The bugs were gross in the woods and I felt like they would never stop attacking my legs.

I walked probably a good 30 minutes before I saw the store again. I walked in and Harold was talking to a customer. I stood around awkwardly until the man left.

About 5 minutes later the guy wandered off and I grinned.

"How was the first night?" Harold asked, obviously beaming.

"Great, thanks so much," I said and he waved his hand.

"It's not a big deal, I'm honored," he said and I just nodded. "Anything I can help you with?"

"Yeah actually," I said and he lifted an eyebrow. "I need a car or something."

He seemed as if he were thinking. "Hmm I can make a few calls," he said and I nodded.

"Thanks," I said and I headed out.

As I turned away from the store I noticed a big building on a dock. there was a sign over the entrance that said THE PIER in big letters. There were people there, quite a few so I wandered over there.

When I got closer I realized there was a restaurant right on the dock being held up from the water. There was an outdoor eating space all around it as well. I figured it was good because people were already eating out there.

I walked down the dock and went through the big corridor. There was a lady standing there writing down daily specials on a chalk board.

"Hello," I said as I walked up to her.

She was a bigger lady, but she turned around and smiled. "Table for one?"

It took me a moment, but I went for it. "Actually, I just moved here and-"

"New? Where are you from?"She cut me off.

"Ohio," I said and she nodded her head, smiling.

"Well were short workers, if that's what this is about."

I had a huge smile on my face, "it would be so great of you," I started and she nodded.

"Come back around 4 tonight and we can help you start," she said and I kept nodding.

"Thank you so much, I'll see you later!" I shouted as I half way jogged back down to the store.

Harold was waving me down and I came up by him. "Good news," he said and I lifted my chin a bit.

"I have arranged you to get a car, for the summer at least," he said and I almost fell over.

"You mean that?!"

"Yes!" He said and we both laughed.

"Thank you so much," I beamed and he nodded.

"Anytime Ms.Potter," he said and I grinned.

"I sent Harry to get it so he will be back any minute," Harold said and I smiled.

"Alright, thanks again," I said as he walked into the store.

I stood there for a second and I decided to sit in one of the chairs outside of the little store. I think this is just the perfect place ever. I also really want to go in the water later, just touch the sand again.

About 10 minutes later Harry pulled up in a red truck. It was old, that's for sure. It was rusting in weird places, and it was chipped and banged up, but I didn't care at all.

"Hop in," he said and I was a little confused but I obeyed him.

I got up and walked over, heaving open the passenger side door. "Thank you for getting this," I said and he nodded.

"I know you can't drive though," he said and he tried to hide a smile.

"I can too!"

"Noooo," he said and I was appalled. I got my license but it was expensive so I couldn't drive. I did in fact know how to drive.

"Where are we going?" I asked and he tapped his fingers on the wheel as we drove down the street.

"I'm taking you to the store," he said and I smiled.

"You're like a mind reader," I said sitting back and holding my hands out as if holding something mid air.

"Am I now?" He asked and glanced over at me.

I raised an eyebrow. "I think so."

He laughed a little, "you never know."

"Yeah, you never know," I repeated.
