"Room 109" mrs. Anderson said while she walked past me.
I groaned and walked down the hall.
Why did the boy bug me so much?
I probably could spill my deepest secrets to him and he wouldn't know it.
My shoes made scuffling noises as i walked down the hall.

I came up to room 109.
I knocked in case someone was undressed.
"Come in" i heard a soft voice say.
I walked in and saw a little girl she had freckles blue eyes and bright fiery hair.
She sat cross legged watching the TV.
"Hi i'm alexis" i said putting a sweet tome in my voice.
"I'm alice" she murmers.
"Would you like me to do your hair?" I ask.
She nods.
I walk over to the hospital bed.
"Can i sit down" i ask.
She nods.

I sit down behind her and start to brush her hair.
"So how old are you?" I ask.
"Seven" she said.
The volunteers usaully play with kids and bring flowers to the patients.
I felt like we could do more but i never said it.

"I'm seventeen" i reply.
I brush her soft red hair.
"You seem really nice alexis" she said.
"Your nice too" i reply.
I start to french braid her hair.
We watched dora the explors for awhile until it started to get late.
"Okay alice i have to go now" i say as i climb off the bed.
"Alexis do you ever hear the patients cry?" She asked.

I took a deep breath.
"Sometimes but that's why i'm here to cheer you guys up" i said.
"Have you ever met someone you loved?" She asked.
Let me see? My mom. My sister. Kacie. And Mrs. Anderson.
"Yea i have lots of friends" i said.
" i meant someone you loved like liked" she said.

"No i don't really think of boys that much" i said.
"I heard from mrs. Anderson that you bring flowers to a boy" she said her eyes lit up excitedly.
I sighed.
"I do but alice that doesn't mean i love him. I also really can't. See the boy is asleep. Like snow white he will probably never wake up" i said trying to show her why i don't like him.

"True loves kiss then you should kiss him. He will wake up" she said excitedly.
I groaned.
"Alice the boy hasn't even met me" i said.
"If he's sleeping he might've heard you or maybe he dreams of you!" She said with a giggle.
"Good bye alice i will see you later" i said while walking out the door.

I tucked bria in bed i nearly got in trouble for missing dinner.
I looked at her pink room. It was almost blinding from all the hot pink to pale pink.
I kissed bria then walked to my room.
I got under the covers and closed my eyes.
I couldn't sleep though.
The boy kept flashing through my mind.
He might be listening? I hope not!

"Kacie have you ever loved a guy?" I ask her the next day as we walk down the bleak halls of the hospital.
"Sure luke hemmings" she said.
"Someone you met" i reply.
"Havn't really sorry" she said.
Her blue eyes studied me.
"Hey alexis can you bring these flowers to room 302?" A nurse asked.

"Sure mrs. Prescott" i said while taking the daisies.
I turned down a corridor and walked till i reached the wooden door.
Room 302 made me feel funny. Why? I didn't know.

I pushed the door open and saw the room in the darkness.
The curtains were closed.
I saw the dim light reflect on the sleeping boy.
I walk over to his nightstand and switch flowers. I go to the table and put them down.
"Someone really likes sending you flowers" i mutter.
I grab the two dead bouqets of flowers.
"Do you want some light?" I murmer.
I was greeted with silence.
Like seriously if a pen dropped you could hear it. Or a ant scurried across you could hear it.
I go to the deep blue curtains and pull them open.

I saw the fantastic view of the city.
"Yea your sure missing life" i mutter.
I walked over to him.
His expressionless face haunting me.
I lean in to watch him.
"If you move i will know of it" i warn.
I watch him breath in and out.
"You probably never kissed someone huh or had someone tell you they love you that wasn't your parents. I know i haven't had any of these." I murmer.

I didn't know it but he was listening to every word i said. Hanging on to every word i said. He loved every word i said.
I was the thing keeping him tethered here. My voice was the thing that made him not slip in to the darkness. He wanted to tell me all this but he couldn't open his eyes or even move his lips.

I turned and walked back out.
"Room 109 the girl wants you to talk with her" mrs. Anderson said as she walked past me.
I nodded and walked to the desk.
I left the dead flowers for the nurse to take care of them.
I walked to room 109.
"ALEXIS YAY" i heard alice say giddily.

"Hey alice i got you something" i pulled out a pack of M&M's.
"I haven't had these in a long time" she looked like she was going to drool any second.
I handed them to her.
"So want me to turn the TV on?" I ask.
She nods and i walk over and flip the TV on.

Me and alice sat there watching kids shows while laughing at the funny parts.
"Alexis what happened to your family?" Alic asked finally.
"My family is gone only my sister is here" i murmered.
My family was gone. Zombie like.
Bria was the only one who wasn't. so there for she was alive.
