"Your husband sounded awesome" i said softly.
"He was he always spent time with me. He was so excited when he got recruited in the war. I was not i knew he wouldn't be coming back. I got a couple of offers to marry a couple people i always turned them down. John was my everything we were like magnets always talking almost joined at the hip. We did get glued to each other once. His friends thought it would be funny to do that. I thought it was a cruel thing to do until john kissed me and told me he loved me." She said a tear rolled down her cheek.

"Now enough with me how about you?" She asked.
I smiled shyly.
"Well he um... you can't tell anyone but he woke up for a few minutes and we talked for a minute" i admitted.
"Mhmm spill the beans" she said giving me a smirk.

"He kissed me too" i muttered.
"Aww that is so precious. Now enough of boys lets go for a walk" she said.
I pulled her wheel chair up and she got in.
We strolled out of the hospital we did get stopped by the securty guard but i showed him my lanyard and he let us go outside.

"I haven't been out doors in weeks" beth said.
She soaked the sunlight in.
"Now your hip hop fashions are weird" she said pointing to my outfit.
I looked down at my dark faded red shirt that had the band 'kiss' on it.

I wore short shorts and a choker.
My black converse felt natural to me.
"Well what did you wear back then?" I ask.
"Dresses i haven't seen anyone wear one" she said letting a pout escape her face.
"We do it's just we like wearing shorts or pants" i said.
"Okay tell me you have any family?" She asked.
" a baby sister a older brother and a dad" i said as i pushed her along the sidewalk.

"Where's your mom?" She asked.
"She passed away in a car accident. My father and brother don't like to talk about it. Or talk to me because i was in it. My sister bria lost her mother so now i'm the subsitute" i said.

"I had four brothers and two sisters all older then me" she said.
I giggled.
"Poor you having all those boys in the same house" i said.
"It was hard they went nude sometimes which was not a pleasent sight" she said.

"My brother did that too it scarred me for life" i said.
"Boys i tell you what is up with them!" She said.
"I'm still trying to figure them out" i said.
"Well lily annie vincent and ben are going to play UNO would you care to join us?" She asked.

Twenty minutes later we're sitting around a table playing UNO.

"Alexis!" I look and see alice walk over. She gives me a hug.
"Did you true love kiss him?" She asked.
"It doesn't work" i lie.
"Maybe because you don't believe in yourself" she said.
"Maybe" i said shyly.
"Alice why are you over here?" I see alex walking up.
"I'm hanging out with my friend alexis" she pouted.
"Alice you better go he is the wicked witch of the west when he's upset" i whisper in her ear.
"Aghhhh" she said while jumping off and running making alex chase her while she screamed 'he's the wicked witch of the west'.

Me bria dad and aden sat at the dinner table.
"Alexis you spend a lot of time at the hospital" aden says.
"They're short handed so i'm working extra" i said.
"How about school work?" Aden asked while smirking.
"I get straight A's i do my homework and extra credit" i said giving him a smirk.

"She also help me mine" bria meant to say she also helps me with my homework.
"Take bria and give her a bath" my dad mutters.
I pick bria up and walk her to the bathtub.
"Remember the song?" I ask.
"washy washy scrub scrub rinse dirt off" she sings.
I poke her and she giggles.
I pull her clothes off and stick her bare body in the warm water.

After i clean her up and me getting soaked in the process i tuck her in.
"Will you sing me" she whispers.
I nod.
"Hush, little baby, don't say a word.

She fell asleep quickly.
I kiss her forehead and get up and walk away.
I hear shouts coming from down stairs.
I slowly creep down the stairs and hear moaning.
I slowly walked to my father's bedroom door.
I heard a lady moan.

I felt tears prickle my eyelashes.
"Shhh they might hear you" my father said.
"Mmm i don't care i have you to sate me" she said then giggled.
I quickly ran up the stairs.
My father i knew he was many things.
I knew he loved my mom but a year later he goes and sleep with his secatary?!
Yea i knew her when ever i came i saw her flirt with him. I didn't think it would be a bad thing but i also didn't realize he would sleep with her.

I fall on my bed and sob my heart out.
