    A week later...

  The hospital was under construction so that meant no volunteering.
Except me and Beth planned on seeing each other once a week with all her friends.

So now me and Kacie sat on my couch as we watched a movie.
"So..... Aden" i say slowly.
She looks over at me.
"What about him?" She asks.
"Do you like him?" I reply.
"He's my best friend's brother, i cant like him" she responds.

"But you do" i say while smirking.
"Alexis it's illegal, i cant" she tells me.
"Its only illegal if you do the dirty with him" i reply.
I hear footsteps from upstairs and Aden comes walking down the stairs with Bria in his arms.

He seemed brighter this week.
Probably because Kacie's been her a lot.

"Aden, you are practically naked, put on clothes" i demand
He looks down at only his sweatpants.
Then he looks back up.
"Sue me" he replies while walking in to the kitchen.

I knock on Beth's door and i hear her yell for me to just walk in.
"Stay" i tell Aden who drove me.
He looks at me with annoyance but nods.

I push the door open and i walk in.
I close the door then walk in to the parlor.
"Aren't you gorgous!" Beth says with a warm smile as she looks at my floral dress i had on.

"Come sit down" she adds while patting the sofa on her left.
I walk over and sit down.
"Ben and Vincent has missed you very much, they keep telling me about bingo, i think they forget i was there" Beth tells me.
I smile at this.

"Alexis" i look over at the sound of my name.
I see Alex standing there.
"Oh this kind gentleman was instructed by Mrs. Anderson to visit everyday" Beth states.
"We've met" i tell her.

I hear a ding and i pull my phone from my purse.

Daddy: dinner. Need eggs. Pick some up.

"I'm sorry Beth, i have to go, my dad needs me" i tell her.
"That's alright dear, i hope to see you soon" she replies.
I lean over and kiss her cheek before standing up and walking in to the tile foyer.

"No kiss for me?" I look up at the stairs and i see Asher walking down the steps.
He looked handsome walking down the stairs.
His gorgous eyes looked at me as his hair fell in his face.

"Oh Alexis, this is Vincent's Grandson" Beth tells me.

"I knew he looked familiar" she adds.
Asher stands next to me and kisses my cheek.
"Asher" Alex says with a look.
"Alex" Asher replies.

"I have to go" i murmur before turning and walking off.
I pull the front door open and i already see Aden giving me an odd look.
"Ready?" He asks.
I nod and i get in to the passenger seat as he starts the ignition.
"Who was the boy?" He asks.
"Which one?" I reply.
"Both" he states.

"Asher and Alex, Alex has his eyes set on Kacie" i tell him.
His expression goes emotionless.
"Whats that mean?" He asks.
"You better tell her how you feel" i state.

"Just be quiet" Aden mutters.
"Aden you need her" i tell him.
"No" he replies.
"Yes you do! You're shut off! You don't care about anything now!" I say to him.

"I care enough" he states.
"No you don't, how many times have you gone out with your old friends? Had a girlfriend? Since mom's death you've been shut down, i remember my brother who would bring different girls over every night for dinner so you could get dad's attention, where is the brother i know?!" I demand.

"He's gone" he replies coldly.
"Why?" I murmur.
"Cause you don't need him anymore, you can find your own way in the world" he tells me.

"No, i cant Aden, i need you, Bria, me, Kacie, even dad needs you" i reply.
"No you don't" he mutters.
"So if i killed myself tomorrow because you weren't here, what would you do? Would you stop talking again?" I ask.

"Alexis what do you mean" he asks with a hint of concern.
"If i disappeared tomorrow would you care?" I demand.
"YES! Alexis you are my best friend! I would be in pain if you died! So don't EVER say you'rs going to die tomorrow, cause we both know you wont" he replies angrily.
