I walk out of room 302 i saw someone watching but no one was there. Strange.
"Beth wants to see you" mrs. Anderson called.
I nodded and started to skip to beth's room.
I knocked on her door.
"Come in" she said.

"Hey beth" i said.
"Honey what happened you look like you cried?!" Beth said giving me a motherly stare.
"My dad's fiance decided to visit me" i answer.
"Is she bad?" She asked while crinkling her nose.
"Very bad" i said while giggling at the face she's making.

"How about me and you go down to the cafeteria to hang out with some buddies?" She asked while winking at me.
"I would love that" i said.
I wheeled her down the hall to the cafeteria.

"Alexis! Beth! Where have you been?" Ben asked.
"Cooped up in my room" beth answered with a grim nod.
"What to play bingo?" Annie asked.
"Sure we would love to" beth replied.
I wheeled her to the table and pulled a chair up.
We all started to play bingo.
Anytime vincent got a square he would imitate a chicken.

"So alexis how have you been?" Ben questioned me.
"I've been great. How have you guys been?" I ask.
"Good" they all say in unison.
We all laugh at that.
"Sorry guys but BINGO" i said.
They all laughed.
Vincent made a pouty face.
"I needed one more square! I thought we were friends!" I said teasingly.

"There are no friends in bingo its die or live!" Lily said.
Beth smiled at them.
"Let's get going alexis" she whispered in my ear.
I nod.
We get up and i wheel her back to her room.
"Alexis do you know the worst thing is about not having kids?" Beth asked.

"What?" I ask.
"You can't buy them things or see them smile or giggle" she said glumly.
Her head hung sadly.
"Having kids is hard i know bria is a tough child" i said.
"They seem hard always doing something. Alexis i have a propostion for you" she said giving me her motherly stare.

"Sure hit me up" i said while looking at the details in her room.
I saw a black and white photo of a good looking guy. He had a military uniform on his hair was slicked back.
There was a lady next to him. She was a beautiful lady. Blondeish hair that was wavy she had a long dress on and was smiling at the camera.
At the bottom said john and beth.

"Will you be my pretend grandchild?" She asked.
" i would love that" i said.
At that she grinned from ear to ear.
"I had a pretend grandchild once... he disappeared one day and never came back" she murmurs
I saw the time on the clock.
"I gotta go bye beth" i said while giving her a kiss on the cheek.
Her words saddened me.
I turned and ran down the hall and handed my lanyard in to the security guard.
What that lanyard did was i could bring visitors in without getting questioned.

I walked down the street i jumped from crack to crack from the pavement.
Finally i reached my home.
You may call it a mansion i called it home.
I walked around back i saw bria playing in the grass.
She ran around making duck noises.
"Bee bee get away from me!" She yelled while pretending to be a bee.

I walked up to her.
"Hey bria" i said while giggling at her bee face.
"Sissy!!!" She said while giving me a bear hug.
I picked her up and we walked in to the house.
To my surprise my brother dad and his fiance sat at the dinner table waiting for us. A glare set on all their faces.

"Your late" my father said.
"I didn't know we were having company" i said dryly.
"Sit down" my dad ordered.
I followed and sat down then sat bria in her high chair.
"Let's eat" he said.

We had spagetti with meat balls.
"So tell me alexia who was that boy?" My dad's fiance asked.
I guess i should tell you her name.
Vicky had a cruel gleam in her eyes.
"A patient like all the others in the hospital" i said.
She sneered at me.
"Does he wake up?" She asked.

"He's in a coma NO HE DOESN'T" i hiss.
"Alexia manners!" My dad snapped.
"Tell your fiance that" i said.
"Honey boo she's being mean" vicky said while pouting.
"Your right. Alexia take bria up stairs learn to respect vicky!" Dad said.
"Once she does that to me then i will" i said back.

I pick up bria and walk upstairs.
I turned on some music and we danced to it.
I lip synced while she played the air guitar.
Some times bria could be my best friend right along with kacie then others she was just a toddler.

I finally put her in a onesie that had rainbows on it.
"Vroom vroom" she said giddily while running around with a race car.
I followed and grabbed her.
"Eeeeee" she squealed.
I snuggled her in my lap.
"Aaafghhh the snuggle monter" she meant snuggle monster.

"Nom nom nom" i said while giving her a eskimo kiss.
She wrapped her arms around my neck and i stood up and spun around till she got dizzy.
It took a whole five minutes for that to happen.
I finally brought her to her bed.
I pulled the covers up to her chin.
"Time to make you a burrito" i said while tucking the edged under her.
"Aaaa" she squealed.
I kissed her forhead.
"I love you bria" i whisper.

"do you think mom love me too?" She asked with difficulty.
"I'm sure she does she always loves you even in heaven" i said.
"She might be mad at him" she meant dad.
"For marrying vicky? Yea maybe you will have to ask her when you get up there" i said.

"When will that be?" She asked.
"Not for a long time" i kiss her forehead.
"Get some sleep sleeping beauty" i said while walking away.
