    I continue to talk to the heart moniter then i stop talking and i stop breathing when i hear the door open.
"Alexis" i hear a soft voice whisper with their throat full of tears.
I hear Kacie pull up a chair and sit by me.
I feel her take my hand and hold it.

"Alexis..... you've been gone for a day... wake up... are you in there?" She whispers.
I AM RIGHT HERE WOMAN! OPEN YOUR EYES ALEXIS!

My effortless Screams get drowned out by her words.
"Your father thinks you aren't in there, prove him wrong" she demands before walking off.

The second she lets go of my hand i lose feeling in my fingers.
C'mon.
Do something.
DO SOMETHING!

My chest jerks up and my eyes flutter
Open and close.
But it wasn't a good sign.

My lungs were burning me.
The heart moniter beeps rapidly as i gasp for air and i stare at the ceiling tiles before throwing my body back down.
The deadly sound of a long beep alarms me.
The heart moniter had flatlined me.

The doctors rush in and they start to give me CPR then they shock me with the pulsers.
I finally hear the faint beeping of the hear moniter.
"She's okay now" a far away voice says with relief.
It felt like i was underwater listening to them.
"She's dying" another replies.

Almost to three thousand.
The door opens and i lose my concentration.
"Alexis" i hear Asher murmur.
YOU MADE ME LOSE COUNT! IT TOOK ME ALL DAY TO GET THERE!!!

I hear Asher stand by my bed.
"I swear to god Alexis, i know you can hear me and you will wake up because your best friend and brother have been sitting in the waiting room for a week waiting for you to wake up!" He demands.

Its been a week?
Felt like a month.
Time flies.
"Please Alexis...." he murmurs before i feel his lips on mine.
Huh. Roles reversed.
His lips finally pull away from me and i knew he was crying.

The door opens and i mentally groan with annoyance at the visits from the doctors.
But this time.
It wasn't a doctor or nurse.
I don't hear a chair move.
I feel the hospital bed move and i feel whoever sat down take their hand in mine.

It was calloused.
It was a boy's.
"I don't know if you can hear me" i hear his voice break as he says this.
Aden.

"Alexis you told me i would shield myself from everybody when mom died, i did, now listen to me Alexis, i will not let you lay here and let your life waste away" he tells me.
"You get up, and you come home, cause i cant take care of Bria without you, i cant survive Dad's fiance without you, i cant even talk to girls without your advice, so don't be dead, just don't.
Wake up... baby sis... cause i love you and i need you" he adds while his grip loosens.

"I lost mom, i cannot lose my sister too, Bria can not lose you, Kacie, dad, Beth, they all need you, so fight for your life" he demands softly.

I feel Aden lean over and press his lips on my forehead.
He lingers there for a second.
It was all i needed.
My will had grown ten times bigger.
A thousand times bigger.
My eyelids flutter open and i look at Aden.
He looked like he hadn't shaved.

I never realized he was actually shaving something until i see his stubble on his chin.
His cheeks were tear streaked.
He wasn't looking at me though.
I part my lips and it takes me a few seconds to find my voice.

"I love you too" i croak.
He looks at me and i see him smile.
I sit up slowly and he hugs me and i hug him back.

"Alexis, oh my gosh, i thought you were gone" he murmurs with relief.
"I would have been if that stupid heart moniter kept beeping at me" i tell him with a grin.
He kisses my head as we hug.

"Don't ever leave me again" he demands.
"I wont, you need me alive" i murmur.
