When Gerard returned the following day they seemed to have fallen into an unspoken truce.

They spent the afternoon keeping Milan company , the newborn seemed to love the attention from his parents and this made the mood lighter.

Before Gerard left a nurse came in to give Sierra her medication and take Milan back to the nursery.

"I ment what I said Sierra , you can't take Milan back to your apartment" Gerard spoke calmly.

"We have a contract Gerard , please stop" Sierra closed her eyes.

"We do , but you have stitches that are healing and tubes, plus you're on a lot of medication that makes you drowsy which will make it hard to care for a baby" He stated calmly.

When she stayed silent he continued
"Plus the doctor wants you to take it easy and you can't do that if you're alone"

Even though she hated to admit it she knew he had a point.
"So what do you suggest Gerard?" She asked trying to stay calm.

"We both want to be with Milan and you also need someone to look after you so I want you to come home with me."

"We can't stand each other. It would be a disaster" she protested.

"We're going to have to get passed that for Milan's sake , aren't we?" He countered

"I suppose but I still don't think it's a good idea but if you're willing to try then I'll meet you hallway." She replied cautiously.

"Good. Plus I'm sure you wouldn't mind waking up to my gorgeous face" He smirked.

"You're so annoyingly arrogant did you know that?" She rolled her eyes.

"I think you mean extremely sexy" Gerard laughed.

"Whatever. This arrangement is only until I get my strength back then I'm taking Milan back to my apartment, deal?" She asked

"Deal"
She stared at him for a moment trying to sniff out any dishonesty when she couldn't find any she looked away. Even though she was fighting an internal battle about how to feel about moving in with Gerard she knew they had to do what was best for little Milan.
