Claimed By the Moon

Chapter 1

She walked into the room. Malorie that is. Malorie was the queen of us. Us as in vampires. Walking into the room, Malorie had on a big red dress with black lacing. This period was a special occasion. This was the claiming. I was going through that phase. Malorie was suppose claim me. The claiming decided if I was for good or evil. The period lasted 100 days. I had 64 left.

My name is Allison but people call me Alli. I'm 16 and going through the claiming phase. I have hazel hair and blue eyes. I'm pale and very thin. I'm about average height non the less. My brother Brandon is 21 and my sister Annabelle is 13. We never knew our parents. Well nobody did... we just know we were taken care of by Malorie. There is an old legend that once a vampire baby is born into the world, Malorie kills both parents for sinning. I don't quite believe that but I never even see them. My special power is freezing time and invisibility. I can only use it when I absolutely need it like in a crisis.

Jasper walked in with flowers and had on a tux. Oh how he looked hot. I secretly loved him and he knew. He could read my thoughts. He could tell when I thought about him because then he would smile at me. But we have discussed that I will be most comfortable after the claiming so I can focus. He was claimed for the good and evil. Men could choose but it wasn't so easy for women. Just don't push it with him because...well...you just don't want to know what will happen if you do.

"Everyone take your seats we have a lot of ground to cover!" Everyone was seated in a large room for the announcement of my claiming. "Now, everyone knows of the claiming so there can't be any distractions." I hated her and the fact that she was my claimer made me pissed. No one really liked her but they put up with it. Brandon, my brother, was my teacher. He taught me how to choose good because he was claimed for the dark. My little sister Annabelle learned as well but she still had three more years until she could start her training.

"I think we have covered everything and we should let the soon to be claimed get some rest", Jasper said. Malorie rolled her eyes and said "Ok I guess so." Jasper then ran in full speed towards her in what it looked like a blink of an eye and said "Don't push it Malorie, excuse me everyone." Just like that he excused himself. Everyone then left out in a flash following him. Indeed it was a big day for me because I was supposed to do all of my training during the day instead of night. My mission: be concealed from the human world.

Walking into my room I saw flowers that said:

I knew who they were from. All it did was make me want him more. After grabbing water and a vase, I put the flowers into it. I took off my clothes and got into the shower. As I felt the water trickle down my body, I thought about my true love, Jasper... I imagined his hands all over me, touching me, kissing me.

When I got out of the shower I threw on a bra and boy-shorts and got into bed. I then turned on my special playlist "My Tunes" and let that lull me to sleep.
