Hayes's POV
I walked into the room, she was sitting on her bed.
I smiled.
She groaned and rolled her eyes.
I sat down with her.
"So...what happened?"
"Nothing" she scoffed.
"I can't help you if you won't talk to me" I stretched, laying down.
What I didn't realise about her at the time, was that she's never talked to anyone about anything related to her feelings since her dad left.
And she opened up to me.
Me!
That's pretty awesome if you ask me.
But it was a really sad time.
She bust out crying.
I sat up.
"Ambra?"
She put her head in her hands.
"I-I'm sorry" she said while crying.
I rubbed her back. "No, it's fine, I just wanna know-"
"I was just having memories all night" she said, leaning in to me.
"About what?"
"About...about my dad."
I nodded.
"Wanna talk about it?"
She froze a minute. Almost tensed up.
She had let herself get vulnerable.
And she did not line that.
But then she calmed down and I guess she liked finally being comforted after a whole year.
"U-um, the worst memory is when...m-my dad woke everyone up, at exactly 3 AM." She was silent again for a minute.
"What happened?"
She sniffles.
"He wanted to say goodbye because in his words 'daddy was gonna kill himself'"
I sighed and hugged her tightly while she cried harder.
This girls had a fucked up life.
Comments pls. And damn. I feel rlly sad bout this chapter.
