Ch. 10-"Words Can Always Hurt, So Can Unspoken Thoughts."
Thoughts seemed to roam about the head of Natalie, thoughts and ideas about what was morally right and wrong. After many years of going through the motions of her life and following all the teachings set out by her parental figures, many teachers and mentors, what God and Jesus wanted, she was confused. One major side of her had gone back to the way things were, for she believed she had slipped away from the path that had always been set out for her. Well now she was making the road to recovery, she had already confessed privately to her pastor of what she had been participating in the last year and he had made an effort to help her "cleanse her sins" and promised that it would stay between them and the Lord only. She refused to talk to any of her former friends, even outright avoided them at all costs; yet they still made attempts to confront her. She felt that unwinding the string from her web of sin that she had embroidered over many months that had caused much question and confusion was the only way she could go back to having all the answers for her life. At least those were the results she'd hoped for."Stop right there Natalie!" Said girl groaned as she recognized the clearly wrathful tone that belonged to someone all too familiar. Deciding to yet again ignore the furious female and keep on walking, but her little plan was cut short when she felt her usual blonde braid being yanked on.
"Ow! What're you-" she shouted out but was cut off mid response as her mouth was muffled by a hand. She could only let out muted screams of protest as she was quite literally being lugged by her braid like some rag doll. When she was finally let go she took note that she had ended up in the girls bathroom, but wasn't given much time to try respond accordingly to the situation. Not before her arms were pinned against the wall and her eyes were greeted with a vengeful and deathly glare, one that could probably murder the hostage girl right on the spot. She was about to shout out further, but the smack of a hand on her lips managed to silence her yet again.
"I'm going to talk and you're going to listen. What did you do and say to make Eddy upset?! Actually so upset he refuses to tell any of us about why he feels so depressed!" Emma leaned in with closely just barely giving the restrained girl any breathing room. "Well, talk!"
"Wait, Eddy hasn't told any of you about our fight?" She asked her own question while raising an eyebrow in slight confusion.
"No, all he said was you two had a really big fight but he didn't say why or talk about what each of you said," she responded. She added rather irritably "Don't know why, it probably has something to do with covering up something shitty you more than likely said to him."
"Hey!" She exclaimed in outrage while struggling to escape the firm grasp of the stronger female, "I'm justified to say whatever I want. Also if Eddy didn't want any of you to know about it I really don't see how it's any of your business."
"When my friend is so downcast he refuses to talk about his problem, when my other friend is doing everything she can to outright avoid all of us, and when both of you had a giant argument that left both of you acting silent and uncharacteristically miserable I'm pretty damn sure it's become my business!" She reasoned stubbornly, grasp still as tight as boa constrictor.
'Honestly with her piercing gray-green eyes flickering with aggravation, she almost seems like a blood thirsty snake seeking out prey.'
"I don't have to tell you anything," despite her little act of resistance to the harsh and threatening words the lack of proper blood flow to her limbs was making her consider giving in. After almost a minute of standing her ground, she formed an idea, and she noticed on her feet were completely free. She took her dainty and petite foot and slammed it as hard as she could onto the other girl's Converse. Surprisingly Emma seethed in pain on the impact and hopped around while cradling her foot, cursing under her breath. Natalie took the opportunity to make a run for it, sprinting out of the girls' bathroom and down the hall trying to get to class on time. She barely managed to make it on time but she then took notice she was in Biology class, and Eddy was her partner. Well he was, until after their fight they managed to convince their teacher to let them switch. However she noticed that both of their new partners were absent today, and she was somewhat worried because they were working with partners on a giant worksheet and the assignment wasn't easy to complete on one's own.
