After the movie marathon we had, we were both crying our eyes out. We watched every single Twilight and The Notebook. (AN:\\ I don't care what you people will say, this is by far one of the saddest movies ever ://) it was probably around eight o'clock at night. We went through at least seven batches of pop corn, and so many rolls of Thin Mints. We decided that we were going to be fat together, Amberly and I.
As we made our way through the hallways, we tried to ignore as many people as possible. But of course, we ran into one person. The one person I equally don't like but like. Celeste and Elise.
"Well well well. What do we have here? Look what the cat dragged in, Elise." Obviously she hadn't seen the queen when she said that and the next thing.
"Still wearing those skimpy clothes I see. Tell me, has my darling Maxon kicked you out yet?" Her face went pale as she saw the queen round the corner with me. They both sank into a low curtsy while they both said their hellos.
"I hope there isn't any bad blood between you three," she said in a queenly voice. I could see she was fighting back a smirk and that made me smile.
"No your majesty. We are all very god friends," said Elise. The smirk broke out of Amberly. I smiled too.
"Oh really? And would you say that my son is as madly in love you , Lady Celeste, as he is with America?" Her face reddened. Elise whispered something in her ear, bowed her head to the queen and left.
"Wel, yes ma'am. I would like to think so," she said in her baby voice.
"Well then, Lady Celeste, would I be so bold as to say that his affection towards you is as much as it is to the pigs in the barn?" I had to put my hand over my mouth to keep my laugh in. Her face turned tomato red and she started clinching and in clenching her hands.
"Yes ma'am that is a very bold and a quite rude thing to say." She said through gritted teeth.
"I would see to it that you are removed from the Selection of Maxon Schreve. But being Queen I will have mercy on you and talk to my son about this." With that we walked on, leaving her standing there like the idiot she is. When we got to my door we were both laughing so hard we couldn't get the door open. The guard posted at my door opened it for us. What we both saw in there shut us both up pretty quick.
There were rose petals covering every inch of my floor, bed and any exposed surface. Candles were lit all around and the lights were dimmed. I walked in, Amberly trailing, with my mouth open and eyes wide. The guard opened the door and looked at Amberly.
"Am- uh, my Queen, the advisors request your presence in the board room now." I recognized the guard but I don't know where from. He was an older one with blue eyes and light brown hair with a few grey streaks.
"No problem, Camden. Would you lead the way?" She smiled at him and he smiled back at her. He stuck out his arm and she took it.
"Of course, my Queen." With that they left.
I heard the door to my bathroom open slowly and saw Maxon come out in a new suit and with a bouquet of white roses in his hands. My heart melted. He walked over to me and handed me the roses.
"Thank you so much, Maxon. These are beautiful!" He didn't say anything he just wrapped his arms around my shoulders and pulled me into a tight embrace. We stayed there for a while until he finally pulled back and held my face in both of his hands. He lowered his face down to mine and connected our lips. It was very much like our first ones, soft, slow and sweet.
Too soon he pulled back and looked me in the eye.
"You're so beautiful America. So, so beautiful. You're the best thing that has ever happened to me." His words brought tears to my eyes.
"Maxon, from the moment you kissed me on the balcony that night, I knew I was hopelessly and inevitably in love with you and I know now that I want to be your princess and I want a life
with you." Tears were in his eyes now. One slid down his cheek and I wiped it away with my thumb.
"If I had half a mind right now, I would ask you to marry me, and slowly get down on one knee," he was getting down on one knee. Oh my god. "And present you with the most wonderful and amazing ring that you should ever wear." He pulled a small velvet box out of his jacket and grabbed my hands.
"And then I would tell you that you are the love of my life, America Singer. I will forever love you through all the years. And no matter what obstacles block our way, we will be able to obliterate them together. I want to grow with you and see your face in our children and have peanut butter fingerprints on my work papers from them. I want to grow old with you and see silver streaks in your hair. You are not ordinary, but you are extraordinary in my eyes. You are the most beautiful, caring and loving person I know. You are the sun on my stormy day and the sugar in my bland coffee. It hurts me not to be around you and not be able to call you my own. Now I beg you to end my pain, and become my wife?" He pulled out the ring. It was absolutely beautiful. It was a gold band and at the top were two colored diamonds, one green and one purple. His and mine.
I was crying now and I couldn't get the words out. So, I nodded my head.
"Yes. Yes. Yes. A thousand times yes!" He shot up and wrapped his arms around my waist and twirled me around.
"I love you," I whispered in his ear. He looked at me with big eyes.
"I love you too!" He shouted. He put
me down and kissed my lips again. Our lips moved together in perfect sync. His hand went to my waist and mine went straight to his hair. As the kiss got heated, we found our way to the bed. He laid me down first, the he laid down right next to me. We kissed until our the very last candle burned out.
