I wake up to my neck being covered in kisses. I could wake up every morning like this, I thought. I rolled over to find Maxon propped up on a pillow, only in his boxers. My eyes must have been huge because he answered my question.
"No we didn't. I promise. You got tired at the reception so I carried you back here." I looked down I was in on of his night tee shirts and my panties. Did... No surely he didn't... But maybe he did.
I raised an eyebrow at him."Did you change me, too?" I knew where this was heading and I sorta liked it.
His face got that stupid grin on it that I loved so much, and he looked down at the covers.
"Yes, and seeing that you didn't wear a bra with your dress made everything a little awkward. So I wiggled one of my tee shirts on over your dress and then pulled you dress off." He was using his hands much more than he needed to.
I giggled." I'm sorry," he said.
"Why?" I commented, confused.
"Because I undressed you without your permission." I could tell that he was truly mad at himself, so I tried to comfort him.
"It doesn't bother me, any way you were bound to see me someday. And we're kinda married now so that really doesn't matter." He smiled and acted as if everything that he was sad about miraculously went away.
I got up to get into the shower, but he pulled me back down, showering me with kisses. I squealed, but before he started tickling me, a guard with green eyes rushed though the door. Aspen.
I chucked a pillow at him and told him to leave. He did. And I turned back to Maxon. He didn't do anything, though.
"I have a surprise for you." He said, smirking.
"What is it?" I pleaded like a child.
"Oh, I can't tell you that's why it's called a surprise." He said.
"Maxon Calix Schreve I demand you to tell me what the surprise is or I'm leaving your royal butt!!!!" I said with as much of a demanding voice as I could conjure up without laughing.
"Nope still not gonna tell you," he paused ,"but you might want to take a shower, it's gonna be a long flight."
One word popped into my head.
Honeymoon.

When we boarded the plane, I was a nervous wreck. I had only ridden in one once and that was when I was coming to the palace to participate in the Selection. I thought back to when I first came to the palace, and all the things that I left behind. Aspen popped into my mind and I thought back to this morning. That was the second time he'd walked in on us. Although we weren't doing anything, it was still embarrassing.
"Whatcha think about, my pet?" He teased.
"When I first came to the palace and when I kneed you in the thigh, my Royal Husbandness." I retorted.
"It wasn't my thigh, it was my groin." I rolled my eyes." It was! A man doesn't need that long to recover from a knee to the thigh!" Again, he was using his hands too much.
"Okay, okay, okay! You win! Just go take your anger out on the pillow not me!" I said jokingly.
I didn't realize I was sitting in Maxon's lap until I said this. He just laughed and stared out the window. We had already taken off and I didn't even know it! I looked at Maxon and he was staring at me. I leaned forward to kiss him, and he gladly accepted. The kiss was a deep kiss and I never wanted it to break. I repositioned my self in his lap to where my chest was pressed to his. He slid his hands down my back to where his thumbs were at the very bottom of my waist and his hands lower than they had ever been. I pulled back, looking into his eyes. He shook his head and I knew what he was saying. Not now, later. So I just sat in his lap and looked out the window. My dad had told me about him going on an airplane once when I was a little kid. He said everything looked like it was divided and everything else looked like ants. He was right in a way.
As the sun started to set, sleep was starting to take hold of me. I slipped away into a dreamless sleep in Maxon's arms.
