Harry's POV - Two Years later (June 15th 2021)
@Harry_Styles - Daddy and Melie time. Disney on Ice with my princess - "the cold never bothered me any way" #Frozen #Elsa
"Daddy, can we pretty please get one of those sparkly fairy wands ohh and I'd like some Popcorn please". I couldn't say no. My precious girl, so big now 3 going on 21. I couldn't get over how much she'd grown. To me she'd always be my bubba, my little Melie who I used to cradle in my arms and sing to each night if she was feeling restless. I'd still sing to her, she'd curl up on my lap and we'd read stories together. She'd tell me I was silly and the voices I made were funny. Then she'd completely melt my heart by saying things like "You know what Daddy, I'm the luckiest girl I love you as much as the whole world". I'd swallow the lump in my throat then trying not to cry. "Love you too Princess, to the moon and back times infinity". We'd have our "Daddy and Melie" dates each week and I knew Melie was excited for this one, had been talking about it all week and had been belting out "Let It Go" at every opportunity.
My girl was extremely talented and very much into her dancing and singing. As you know I can't dance for shite but her Mum on the other hand could move extremely well. We'd been to her Ballet recital last week and I was so bloody proud of her. She'd had a little solo as "The Sugar Plum Fairy from the Nutcracker Suite. Nialler, Liam & Cheryl had come as well not missing an opportunity to see their god daughter in action. Nialler had spoiled her and given her a pink fairy dress and Payno and Cheryl had given her a Pink scooter with her name written on the sides in silver. She was a lucky girl. "Thank you Uncle Ni Bear, thank you Aunty CC and Uncle Li". 'You're welcome poppet, my pleasure" Nialler replied back. My children were often complemented on their impeccable manners. Sez and I made damn sure that Melie and Jack were always thankful. From an early age we drilled "please, thank yous, excuse mes and may I's" into them.
We stopped at the merch stand and Melie chose a pink wand and a small tub of Popcorn. I grabbed myself a drink and a Hotdog as I was starving. "Don't tell Mum about the hotdog will you angel". She just laughed. "I won't Daddy, though you know that Hotdogs are full of yucky stuff that's not good for you". I had to laugh. "I know sweetheart but sometimes you just gotta have it". "Your secrets safe with me Daddy I promise", her little face looking up at me through her long lashes. I gave her a big smoochy kiss then. "Love you Melie Moo". "Love you more Daddy" her little arms wrapping round me squeezing me tight. "Come on then mischief, lets get to our seats aye".
We headed down towards the front of the rink where we had the best seats. Louise and Lux were already in their seats waiting for us. "Luxy"! Melie saw Lux and ran over giving her a huge hug. Even though Lux was now 10 she was still great with Melie. "Hi Aunty Lou Lou". "Hello poppet, you ready for the show"? "I am thank you, Daddy and I have been singing all the way here". Louise gave me a cheeky grin. "Have you now, well I'll look forward to Dad's version of "Do you Wanna Build A Snowman" then. I had to laugh. "Not today Teasdale, I'm on vocal rest you know". "Yeah whatever Harold" she sassed back. Melie and Luxy were comparing wands and who was the best singer Elsa or Anna it was a very important conversation. The lights went down then as the arena was plunged into darkness then a kaleidoscope of colours lit the ice. Melie's eyes grew wide as she climbed on my knee and snuggled in to watch. "Wow, this is special Daddy, look at the colours". "It is angel" I replied back. Anna, Elsa, Sven, Olaf and Kristoff then skated out onto the ice. I felt Melie gasp as she saw her idol. I couldn't help but smile as I knew she was so looking forward to this. The music began and the skaters took off twirling, leaping, all over the place. I turned to see Luxy's face lit up as well. It was a really lovely moment.
